Who should WE pick at #3 if we traded Lauri to Sixers?

Rumor has it we’re in with a chance to trade Lauri to the Sixers for the #3 pick.

Who should we pick at #3 given that we also have to pick again at #5?

Strategically wise I think we should pick Ace Bailey.

Cos then there will be 2 shooting guards left, the Hornets will pick one and we’re left with the other.

On the other hand, if we pick a shooting guard with #3 and Hornets somehow took Ace, then we’re left with ANOTHER shooting guard… we don't want to be left with BOTH Tre and VJ.

I’m not risking not being able to get Tre. He has upside to be the best player in the draft other than Flagg. If Ace goes at #4 trade the 5th pick for a later pick and future first round pick.

Who cares, top 5 picks have a 50/50 hit rate anyway so one of those two guys probably wouldn't turn into that great of a player. They can play small SF lineups as well and just trade one if both turn out good.

Someone good, the point is acquiring future assets, including first round picks and still being able to pick someone good maybe Fears or or Kasparas falls to pick 8-10 or Noa. There are good players in the 8-14 range but getting an unprotected first in next years draft would be very ideal

Why do the Spurs need Harper? I read a post about how 3 guard lineups are championship lineups because Pippen, Jordan, and Harper were all actually point guards.

I would consider Lauri for Stephon Castle and 3 other firsts if the Spurs want the #2 so bad.

I am sorry Lauri but quality picks are extremely hard to get. If #2 or #3 are available for your services it would be hard to turn one of those offers down. Ace and Fears would be great for me. I would get the 3/Ace and trade down from the 5 to get Fears. Sorry Isiah, sorry Cody.
