Avery Bradley is reuniting with Danny Ainge in Utah

According to Sarah Todd, the Utah Jazz are hiring Avery Bradley as Vice President of Player Development.

Avery Bradley is joining the Utah Jazz front office as vice president of player development according to team sources. Bradley has been around the team a lot this season and has been traveling with the team recently.

We saw Avery Bradley visiting with the Jazz front office during games multiple times this season.

Bradley has long been connected to Ainge with his time in Boston and understands what he wants with his teams. This is an interesting hire because Bradley is not far removed from playing in the NBA. This is obviously conjecture, but Bradley is very likely a player that understands what players are looking for with their teams and what it takes to improve. Having that perspective in Utah is invaluable and should make Bradley an important part of the Jazz’s future.

Could this also be a sign of what’s to come with the team? The Jazz are loaded with draft picks and have three picks in the upcoming draft to pair with their current young prospects. It makes sense the Jazz would want to bolster their front office to prepare for the youth movement their embarking on. Bradley was a tough-nosed defensive player and if he can help the Jazz with their defense, this could be looked at as a great move in the future.
