There was a more telling comment by Pops later on that really typifies what the Jazz can become post-Kanter. We did give up some open 3's, but for the most part our switching was very effective and shots were challenged. You just don't go inside on Utah anymore unless someone gets lost on a back cut.

That's the key. Against both Portland and San Antonio the Jazz have played aggressively and remained focused for 48 mins. When Gobert is out, Favors and Booker are still challenging players inside. The backcourt players are actually guarding the perimeter. They're getting in passing lanes and fighting for every loose ball. 29 other teams are going to absolutely HATE playing against Utah. We may soon be regarded as the toughest team in the league. And Ingles might get a reputation as the baddest *** of them all. He looks goofy but just gets under guys' skin. Ingles and Booker were such great signings!

Pops is a putz. Bad enough for a nobody to mock, criticize and try to humiliate people. Far, far worse for someone who has achieved some measure of success in his area of expertise to degrade people who ask him about his expertise.

Ive been pretty vocal about my frustration with the trade but our current play is making me eat crow and I like it!
If you can even call giving the ball to Big Al down low every possession down the floor a game plan...
My brother in law (blazers fan) said the same thing. "Blazers were off" after they got killed by the Jazz.

I'm not sure how this question is relevant.
If teams keep losing to the Jazz, people can try to spin it however they want. The results speak for themselves.

Good to hear the praise from Pop. I remember the last time he made a comment like this, the year before we got Deron he praised our team saying we were a good PG away from being competitive again. This team feels the same way where if we just got a little help from somewhere else (or develop within - Exum) we can take off.
Pop has a lot of Jack Bauer in him. It's hard not to love, and respect the man.

Pop: I remember you. You always try to ask basketball questions, and you have no clue what you’re talking about. But you always try to find a trend or something. I have no idea. Sometimes we play two bigs, sometimes we play small. It depends who we’re playing. But there’s no intent to go in one direction or the other. Is that OK?
Not that I've made a top 10 list of my favorite movies, but it would either be on it or very close to on it.

I realize this is difficult for you to comprehend, but while the Jazz trading Kanter was a good thing, the return we got was very underwhelming. It is also possible to say you don't like some of DL's deals while still being a fan, or even still liking DL. Shocking, I know, but I promise you it's true.
We are starting to find our identity with tough , punishing defence.. other teams are going to hate playing us gotta love it. We will end up shaping the eight even if we dont make it by knocking off alot of playoff contenders on the way until end of season quin could end up challenging for COY..next season .Im excited!
