Following potential 2015 draftees

After tonight's win + Hood's progression off the bench + Burks coming back next year, I'm squarely on the camp of drafting WCS as our 3rd/4th big.

We need a quality defensive big on a cheap contract if we're gonna contend, and WCS has that potential.

I like looney too. Can really shoot it and plays hard.

Booker's 3-pt percentage has dropped off. It's still 43%, but he's shooting around 33% for his last 5 games.

I also think Oubre is a possibility for the Jazz. He's like Hood, but his dribble is tighter and he's probably better going to the basket.

Stanley Johnson's shooting has dropped off. It wouldn't surprise me if he dropped a bit in the lotto.

I'm not a big fan of Looney's mobility, and I don't see him as a go-to scorer.

Looney is very intriguing to me from a defensive stand point as well, those long arms could come in very handy in stifling the opponents' offense, especially on the perimeter.

A lineup below could be one of the longest in the NBA, and that's not an exaggeration:

Gobert - 7'1
Favors - 6'10
Looney - 6'9
Hayward - 6'8
Exum - 6'6

Jazz win in Memphis. Now, UK just needs to lose to college basketball behemoth Georgia.

Nice heads up play by WCS ... offensive rebound off FT and score...

We could really use him in the playoff push next year in a backup Center role. Booker & Evans alone just won't cut it in the West.

Give me a sharp shooter over Looney. I would like Looney, but as a backup big, not a starting SF, at least not right away.

I agree. What we need is to replace Ingles in the current starting line-up with a shooter, preferably with length and athleticism.

Looney is probably going to try to be the next Draymond Green if he can cut it.

Looney is definitely a "potential" type pick... Hood shot it well tonight - why can't he be that guy?

I agree with you. As for Looney, I think you could plug him in a bunch of different places. It would be intriguing to have a guy who doesn't start but sees spot duty at several positions.

Yeah that's my concern as well. I'd still take him over Booker though but that's just me.

Yeah, I would too. I wouldn't want another rookie starting next year. I'd rather sign a good veteran to be a starting wing or our 6th man wing and have someone like Looney working on that Paul Millsap like come up.

Hood's handle is too lose to be a credible driver. I think this is the main edge Oubre has over Hood. But Hood looks born to be a spot-up shooter.

Winslow is a nice power slasher. His strength and toughness and his penchant for defense is what makes him different from Burks. The million-dollar question with Winslow is how his shooting will develop.
