Following potential 2015 draftees

Hmm.. Well then I guess it depends on how much one values Dekker.

I have watched 0 minutes of Wisconsin basketball this season. Loved watching Nigel Hayes last year. He is a beast. Perfect build for the college game.

Wisconsin is one of the few watchable teams this year.

I gave up all hope in evaluating prospects when Draymond Green became an elite NBA defender. I honestly thought he would have trouble staying in the league because he'd be unable to guard anyone.

I basically look at two things when trying to judge players:

- how intelligent their movement is

- mental toughness

Most other things tend to become distractions for me.

Hence, my favorite players in the draft are:

Okafor
Towns
Russell
Hezonja

I think they're locks to be very good players.

I think Oubre is at the top of the next tier, but Johnson, Porzingis and Turner could be really good also.

I haven't really watched Mudiay.

Have you watched Frank the Tank... I think he's my favorite college player to watch right now other than Russell.

Not much. He'll be good. I kinda think he's at his ceiling though. He moves well for a 7-footer, but he's not especially quick and his reactions are maybe just a bit above average. He's like a Zeller with range.

Jerry Sloan sighting at the Kansas Iowa State game

Jazz sent him to see if Oubre plays hard and has toughness. :) Or more likely to spot someone with the makeup to make it with sub-par size/athleticism/skills later in the draft: Alexander, Ellis, Niang, etc.

I'm pretty sure no player hits their ceiling in college.

Sloan was one of the guys who apparently lobbied for Gobert. Oubre's not getting touches though. He's 1-2 for 3 pts. The guy had 25 pts. in his last game, and now he's not getting shots.

Tougher matchup today. Dustin Hogue and Bryce Dejean-Jones are pretty tough wing defenders. Selden is more of a mismatch for KU today.

Myles Turner isn't talked about much. He's 2 - 3 years from being developed, but I'd predict he turns out on par with Jermaine O'Neal, and I'd be happy with him as a back-up big. He has more natural quickness and touch than Favors does, though he may not bulk up and be as physical as Favors. I remember seeing O'Neal as a sophomore at the Rocky Mountain Revue. It takes time for bigs like this to develop, but the potential is there.

Good post, I like him where we're picking too, doubt he'll fall past #12 though.

More highlights from one of his better games. Again, he could be good in 2-3 years when the Jazz are aiming for one of the top seeds in the West. He's just a C though.

I am surprised no one is putting trey lyles in to the consideration. QS wants a stretch 4 and lyles has a pretty stroke. he has good size and good passing instincts. he can also play some spot minutes at the 3.

exum, Burke
Middleton, burks, millsap
Hayward, hood, Anderson
favors, lyles
Gobert, tomic
