College Basketball '14-15......

WTF happened to Byu? I left at halftime to go play basketball and the Cougs were up 17.

BYU hit EVERYTHING in the first half and Ole Miss came out sluggish/not defending hard.
2nd half Ole Miss started driving in the lane and dishing, cutting up BYU's "defense."

The whole first half I kept saying, "Why would Ole Miss, a bunch of long athletic and strong players, be in a perimeter shooting contest with BYU?

Especially since BYU is ranked 318th or something crazy like that on defense. Even if you only have a day and half to put together a scouting report, what that usually should tell you, is that teams get to the hole against them. But still, good halftime adjustments from Ole Miss' coach. Not from BYU coaches though. They came out in the basketball equivalent of the prevent defense, clock eating offensive schemes with 20:00 left in the game, so stupid and something I've never really seen from them. They've never done it that early. And teams that play to lose, play scared, usually do.

How far did you have BYU advancing in your bracket?

Not at all. I mentioned a few pages back that I came up with a formula this year to prevent me from picking them all the way like I usually do, and I stuck to it. I had them as the 53rd best team in the tourney.

It was sad watching that game last night. Most tournament games, at least one team is good. That game was tragic. I feel bad for Tru TV having to broadcast that.

Brutal loss for BYU. Yall played hard and had a great season. Next years recruiting class and a little bit of experience and BYU should be back in no time. My gf is a rebel so I hope they can move on in the tourney. Go Rebels, Go UTES, great season BYU!

If you are a Utah fan, and I'll assume you are, you should be used to watching god awful horrible basketball.

Those refs at the end of the Boise game were not very cricket. Home cookin'. I guess all that Boise fan angst about playing Dayton at Dayton was warranted.
