Bienvenue fans français de l'Utah Jazz.

Reporting ! I live near Paris. I always loved defensive players so Gobert is a dream for me. I used to like Noah but he always refused to play for the national team :( Gobert is better anyway.

More than French players, I mostly like good defensive teams and beautiful basketball. So I'm a Jazz "bandwagon" fan now. They play so well now. I watch the games at night in France. It's mostly 3 am here when they play, so it's kinda hard to go to work after that but it's worth it.

There are no french jazz fans in Germany. I checked.

The French despise the US and anything American. Since Rudy plays for an American basketball team, he is dead to the them now. Oui?

I don't know if you're serious but it's definitely not true. There are some anti American people (maybe a bit more than in most european countries) but they're still a small minority. Most people (especially young people) love America and American things. GW Bush used to be kinda unpopular but that's in the past and he was actually unpopular everywhere anyway.

Now basketball is a lot less popular than soccer in France, but I hear more and more about Gobert nowadays.

Well his salute is a bit more controversial than Rudy's...

Ah ah yeah. T.P. didn't know there was a controversy about this "quenelle" salute (about being anti-semitic or not...) when he did it. Really he just wanted to have fun. He wouldn't have done that if he knew there was a debate about what it meant.

Most French fans indeed used to watch Spurs for Parker / Diaw (+De Colo) or sometimes Portland for Batum.

Now I think Gobert is definitely the most exciting player.

Hello guys, you asked for a french jazz fan ? I am here ! haha no seriously I follow the Jazz this season because of Gobert and now I know every single player and i try to learn about Jazz History.
I like how this team plays, I am trying to wake up at 3pm for game days, listening the crazy commentators of Roots ("The saluteeeeeee").
So Go Jazz, Go Rudy and Beat the Wizzards tonight !
Sorry guys for my bad english (i am trying to improve...)

True, i love the US. I spent 6 months in Seattle last year and now my gf is american. French people like america and american people...really I am not lying. I think some Americans have this image because of the war in Irak. Anyway, we are brothers and sometimes we fight, that's it :))

French posters seem great so far. Much better than those filthy Turks (just kidding, I know the French are filthy too (no, kidding, really. I am. I love all of you)).

I think if Kanter came to the NBA 5-10 years ago when Hedo and Memo were still playing and in their prime there would be less Turkish fans on these forums (well this is complicated with Memo playing on Jazz already, assuming he was on different team). The fact that there are already established French players with still years left in the tank and championship aspersions means less French fans on these forums. I think similar to Australian fans. If Bogut wasn't owning so hard, there would be even more Jazz fans from Australia.
