Following potential 2015 draftees

First there was Adam Morrison, then there was Jimmer, and McBuckets. And now, The greatest of them all... FRANK THE TANK!

Morrison I hated from day one and it was his work ethic that got him out of the league. he also wasn't very good from 3.

Jimmer is still in the league and last I saw he was shooting 42% from 3. it is his inability to even devlope any defense that keeps him on the bench.

frank is completely different from those to like comparing coffee to tea.

besides I would take booker first any way

Watching the team not be able to hit anything tonight makes me want Kaminsky even more. We need more guys that can flat out get buckets.

Or watching Drew Gooden score a bunch of points cuz he's a big that can shoot. I'm not sure people understand how important having a shooting big is. Gooden is pretty terrible, yet he can help you win because he can shoot and pull the bigs away from the rim.

So ... were they or were they not drafted on their shooting abilities?

Ammo was not really a good shooter per se... He was a scorer who probably would have had an okay career if not for early injuries. McDermott hasn't even completed his rookie year. Jimmer has still never even gotten in a defensive stance. But you guys are right... He is white so I'm sure they all the same.

Just watch Wisconsin... You won't forget franks in the game for a second. He affects everything they do. His numbers are phenomenal but to get the full picture you have to watch him play.

I have seen him play. He is clutch offensively and his shooting could prove very useful in the NBA as a 3rd big type role. My concern for him is defensively he doesn't seem strong enough and often look lost. I don't want another "Kanter" to have to deal with.

Fwiw, I didn't like any of those guys as NBA prospects, but I think Kaminsky is well worth the risk where we'll be picking.

Way, way stronger than Porz though.

I wouldnt use Drew Gooden as an example of why we should take Kaminsky to a skeptic haha, but point well taken. Ill check out more videos of him and try to catch a game. Maybe hell be a good situational type player in this league.

At very least Frank is Kelly Olynyk. Kelly isn't amazing but he's a really useful player.

Morrison, Jimmer and Mcbuckets were all known as 1 trick ponies though. Kaminski does a few things really well.

Wasn't it rumored we were going to draft olynyk?

Yes this is correct... He was in the mix when we were at #14... Then we traded up.

Frank will be a liability on defense, but I don't think he will be Kanter bad. He's still a seven footer so he can provide some rim protection.

If we aren't planning on tomic coming over he is the guy in our range that I'd want. If we are certain tomic is coming then we can take one of the wings.

I also want to watch Portis a couple more times. He looked awful when I watched him but I don't think he can be that bad and put up the numbers he has.

Not really. All those dudes were multifaceted offensive players, especially Doug.

Perhaps I used 1 trick a little broadly. They were scorers and thats it. Jimmer and Morrison were shoot only pass never players. Mcdermot a little less so but not far off. None of them could pass, dribble, were not very good rebounders and were poor defenders. Kaminsky is a good rebounder, a good passer, a very good shooter ... he will struggle on D because of his athleticism but I think he can be hid a little better on the defensive end than a guard in the NBA.

This is good. I also think the Kanter comp is bad. I was never convinced Kanter was a good offensive player. He could make some shots but it felt like you had to force feed him the ball and he didn't make anyone else better. A guy who can shoot (Kanter couldn't) and pass (again Kanter not so much) will help out everyone else.

He's also goofy looking and white... it just feels like destiny to me.
