Forgotten Nostalgic Songs

One of the most "90's" songs I know.

I loved many of the songs posted on here btw. Pretty good selection.

I cannot say, it would change from day to day. I go through lots of phases where I'll get really into something, then I'll just move onto something else.

Probably would have to pick something from Rush, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, David Bowie, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath - something pretty rock and roll, I suppose.

Most of the pieces of music I go to - when I really need something I know and love - are not songs.

I always thought this was the best song from The New Radicals.

I remembered it well too - whatever happened to them?

Their singer/leader Gregg Alexander hated the media demands put on the band by their record label in the pre-social media era. So he broke up the band and decided to write and produce songs for other artists. IIRC he won a Grammy for writing or co-writing The Game of Love by Santana and Michelle Branch (under a pseudonym).

Such a pity when something like that happen eh?

Yes. Here's a similar case - Acceptance's lead singer Jason Vena got tired of the rock singer life and the band broke up. It looks like they're getting back together for at least one show in May. Perhaps this won't seem so nostalgic after all, but it still is for now.

Do I ever! In high school I worked at a movie theater, and at one point there was either a trailer with this song or maybe even the actual music video played over and over and over. I got so sick of this song. But I like the song now.

Haha.. wow we must have had a similar path. I also worked in a movie theatre except it was during my first year at University.. The projectionist kept playing Jack Johnson over and over.... and over (you know between movies, while we're cleaning, etc). Got so sick of Jack Johnson too.. haha..

man oh man oh man oh man

I don't think this one could ever be forgotten, but it does sort of slip to the back of one's memory after a while...

it was a cute movie too, though it was weird to see Ray Stantz as an undertaker!

though perhaps appropriate... :-)
