Following potential 2015 draftees

The Jazz loved Olynyk in the Draft and they're always looking for a stretch 4. I think they're done taking the freaky measurements/upside guys. Kaminsky seems too safe of a pick for the Jazz. That is, if he's still on the board.

I think you're onto something there...

Tell me, are you by any chance related to the wrestler?

I think that's our worst case scenario but I wouldn't be unhappy about it though.

I disagree, I think Kaminsky is the 10th or 11th best player in this draft. We are currently at #12 in the draft, so it wouldn't be worst case scenario.

I don't think he gets past the Pistons (unless they move into the top 3). They need a big (when Monroe leaves) and SVG loves shooting forwards... he's ready to contribute now. Should never have a coach/GM setup... its a recipe for disaster.

Frank is really good... Think he might be a better version of Memo... at worst he's a better version of Olynyk.

What do you guys think of RJ Hunter? Scouts see him as a 'Klay Thompson' type of player. Jazz need shooters right? He'd make a good pickup at 12.

He's Klay Thompson without the length or shooting.

Mario Hezonja is the Klay Thompson of this draft. No way do you take Hunter at 12. If you want him you trade back into the late first round.

I'm watching the Spurs game and I am struck by how similar our starters are to theirs. We each run an offense without stretch fours. Duncan and Splitter are both more post oriented, but the big difference they have is Duncan can stretch it a little bit and Duncan and Splitter pass exceptionally well. One big thing I notice about their bench is everyone can dribble, defend, pass, and shoot at a high level. There really aren't any deficiencies there. They are just basketball players. I'd say Bonner and Baynes are the only two guys that can't dribble, pass, and shoot. But they are situational players.

Anyway, just some thoughts.

..... we are missing a Kawhi Leonard type.

DET is picking #7 currently, I think Porzingis is the guy you're describing and also within their range.

Van Gundy is also the GM/Coach (right?). I doubt he wants to take a project like Porz on that wouldn't allow him to improve his wins much in the near future. I could see Detroit taking Kaminksy before they took Porz.

This. I wouldn't bet Frank will go to Detroit, but I think that is where his range starts.

either kaminsky or Drummond will have to play pf and I dont think either of them can. porzingis is a better fit next to Drummond.

Kaminsky might be able to guard someone next year... Porzingis wont... Long term you might be right.

They make it work with Drummond and Monroe right now and Monroe can't shoot.
