trout, do you eat the fish you catch? Just curious.

Rarely. I keep maybe 1 out of every 1,000 fish. I do enjoy eating them, but nobody else in the house does and the smell of cooking fish makes my girls sick. I smoke crappie, catfish, and bass whenever possible though.

I just figure if I'm gonna eat meat, I might as well be the person that kills it! Y'all might not wanna hunt, but you're still killing animals if you eat meat!

It's not a moral thing, I assure you. I just don't relish the bloodshed, that is all. If someone else wants to do the dirty work, I'm down to eat the living **** out of it.

Personally I think people who enjoy the killing are weird. I don't hate it (except when it wasn't a good shot and they're suffering before you can get a kill shot), but I don't enjoy it either. I guess I like the hunt, but not the kill! There is something fun about lining up a perfect shot and getting a good kill though, it certainly is an adrenaline rush.

THIS is why I fish. I get all the satisfaction and thrill of the hunt, the chase, the presentation, and the kill -- all without the kill. Watching a trophy fish swim away is just about the best feeling that doesn't involve a bodily function.

You never keep any fish at all?
