Breaking: Kevon Looney has just declared for the draft.
Good news as I think the reports were he was on the fence and without a good showing in the tourney.. him declaring should bolster the draft somewhat.

I really hope someone in front of us falls in love with Looney. If Looney and Turner can go before we pick we will get to pick between the Tank or Porzingis and whatever wing was left.
Once the tournament is over yeah I think guys like Looney and Oubre could rise in workouts...
what about Alec burks and we will take a bad contract back?
Chad Ford has only limited credibility, but right now he thinks the Jazz would draft Turner ahead of Kaminsky. The lotto machine yields mostly Turner and Oubre at 12. Jazz need to get up a couple draft spots.
With the emergence of Hood these last 10+ games it gives me confidence that he could potentially be paired with Hayward going forward at the starting SG position. Hood is probably a late lottery pick in this draft.
May be we can actually take a flyer on guys like Oubre or Turner (low floor, high ceiling)?

I wouldn't mind picking Oubre at #12.
I agree Oubre at 12 is worth the risk at that point. I'd rather move up 3 or 4 spots though depending on cost.
The issue to me is that they need playing time to develop. I wouldn't want to give either guy a lot of rotation minutes especially Turner. Oubre maybe?
I'd much rather have Stanley Johnson, Mario Hezonja, or Frank playing 15ish minutes with us next year.

The cost would likely be high. Remember when we had to trade up to get Trey? It costed us x2 picks in the 1st round. I suspect we'll have to give up a future pick as well as this year's pick to just move up 5 spots.
I agree. If that was the cost I'd do it in a heartbeat without a second thought. You can even make next year's pick unprotected and I'd be in. We have at least 2 picks in 2017 and maybe 3 (the OKC pick). We have prospects or young players at every position. It would be worth it to me to get a guy who could contribute sooner.
