I'm the number one fan of the Chicago Cubs. They will win the World Series in the next five years. Guaranteed!!

I am honestly glad that there are fellow Cub fans on the board. My obsession with the team is unlikely to be matched IMO. As for the Back to the Future Cubs World Series win prediction in 2015, I don't see it coming true. I do agree it is very possible in the next 5 years with the kind of talent coming through the system and the revenue that will be generated via ballpark renovations(signage) along with the a new TV deal following the 2019 season. Everything seems to be coming together when it should.
This is my first year as a Cubs fan, but I have Jorge Soler and Jon Lester on my fantasy team (keeper league) and I have been to Wrigley. Sooooo, yeah. I'm the #2 fan.
Nice. Been to Wrigley and Cubs Park in Mesa. Wrigley is beautiful, but obviously the renovation was long overdue. Good to see it taking its first steps into the 21st century even if there were bathroom issues for fans on opening night. Cubs Park is really top notch if you are ever in the Mesa area during the ST months.
As for Soler and Lester on your fantasy team, depending on where you got them you probably will be happy with both. Soler is poised to have a good season offensively(still needs some work on route running and decision making in RF) and Lester should be good as well as the season goes on. Probably should talk to the in house sports psychologist about his lack of comfort throwing to the bases, but as long as he relaxes he should be fine. Opening night is not the typical Jon Lester. I really hope he doesn't go out there thinking he has to pitch perfectly to earn the big contract he signed. Sometimes guys just try to do too much to justify their contract. Again though, it's just 1 start.
Ya, Soler is gonna be a beast.
Wtf is with Lester not throwing to first ever?? That doesn't even seem possible!!
You were right in a post earlier when you said that everything seems to be coming together perfectly for the Cubs. Seems inevitable that they will win a WS title in the next 5 years, but they are the Cubs. Hopefully it's not a Trailblazers (Oden & Roy years) or a Thunder situation, where the dynasty comes crumbling down before it ever even takes off.
Cubs just happy Astros aren't in their division anymore.
Remember that fan that killed their postseason? That was funny.
