Following potential 2015 draftees

Mario and luigi in 2015

Hood with another strong game: 20pt, 8reb, 4 assists.

Have we talked about his high release point? He seems to be able to get above defenders and get his shots off easily. I feel like we're only scratching the surface of what he can do.

If we packaged our 42, 52, and 54 picks, how far could we move up? Maybe we could package some of them with a non-guaranteed and take back a player? Could we get into high second rd?

Jazz once traded #46 & cash for #27.

Lol that #27 turned out to be Gobert.

41? Those picks don't have much value... Doubt we'd be able to move much at all.

2nd round picks + Cash can get you late 1st rounders from teams that don't have roster spots for guaranteed rookie contracts (though I think doing this is becoming less and less popular).

I'd take a good, hard look at both Mouhammadou Jaitah and Moussa Diagne. Both guys are players that I think could develop as draft and stash guys.

Obviously things can change with the combine, but as of right now my big board for the Jazz would be:

(Players I would be willing to move up for, cost varying by player)
1 Russell
2 Towns
3 Mudiay
4 Okafor
5 Hezonja
6 Winslow
7 Johnson
(Players I would be willing to settle for at whichever pick we end up at)
8 WCS
9 Porzingis
(Players I would take only after first attempting to trade down/out)
10 Oubre
11 Kaminsky (only if I know for certain Tomic isn't coming over)

I think Johnson is likely to be available at #10.

At the moment, the "consensus" is that he's behind the top 4 + Winslow, Hezonja, WCS, Porzingis, and Turner (pending medical clearance).

I'm still fine with Oubre, though I think he may only be a nominal upgrade over Hood (defensively). I think the way Hood is playing, the Jazz might pick a big instead.

I also have no problem if the Jazz want to draft a PG like Cameron Payne in a trade-down scenario. I think Burke's days are numbered.

For the most part, Mario's passing looks really good in this video. He seems like a smart player.

I think he's got the potential to be better than any wing currently on our roster. Great size, athletic ability, 3 point shooting, BBIQ, defensive potential, and alpha attitude.

It's like Johnson & Winslow switched slots.

I think we'll draft Turner. I think we're set at SG-SF with Hood, Burks, Ingles & Hayward. If Tomic comes over we need a backup PF (Booker is awesome but he's a tough tweener). I like Turner as he plays defense and can stretch the floor. I like his ceiling.

Also, this is one of the worst PG drafts I've ever seen. The only PG I like as a value pick is Kris Dunn and he's supposed to go at the end of the 1st round.

Turner isn't a PF... He is slow laterally but provides some rim protection. His shooting also went in the tank in the middle to end of the season. He's a pretty big project... I doubt he'd help us at all next year even in limited action.

It's official...

Surprised Booker is entering? PKM said he might not considering falling draft stock...

UK's Karl-Anthony Towns, Trey Lyles, Devin Booker, Willie Cauley-Stein, Dakari Johnson, Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison to enter NBA draft.

Yeah - he just turned 19. He's a solid shooter with good interior footwork who plays very solid defense. Also, many draft sites are considering him a PF more than a C.
