Game 81 - Mavericks at Jazz - 7 PM Mountain Time - The Last Home Game

Sophisticated, duh. I learned that last night when the old man sitting in front of me said my friend and I were being inconsiderate by cheering loudly.

That reminds me of my experience at Game 2 of the 2007 West Semis against Golden State. It was in OT, virtually the entire arena was standing, and an older gentleman behind me poked me pretty hard in the shoulder and told me to sit down because he couldn't see. I was blown away.

I wish the Mavs would have played all their starters in this one. Cotton's cross-over was fun to watch - he made it look easy.

One more game!

Off topic but I was at a Utes game and was clapping and a lady got up and started yelling at me, saying how I hurt her ears. I mean I'm not an ******* and understand that maybe she has sensitive hearing but a) why would you come to a game and get mad when someone claps? b) why yell at me first and proceed to call me the passive aggressive *******? I would have gladly apologized and been considerate to her hearing if she would have shown some kindness. I didn't do it on purpose, I was merely rooting for my team.

A Ute fan stands up and cheers at the game. The BYU fan behind taps him on the shoulder and says, "Could you please sit down. You're blocking my vision." The Ute fan, being sensitive and well-mannered as you would always expect a Ute fan to be answers, "My apologies. I didn't realize you were having one."

I was actually quite bummed when I learned that Dallas would be resting four of its starters and that the Jazz would not play G time or Favors. In fact, I initially felt like I wasted money buying tickets. Turns out, I quite enjoyed the game. I also really enjoy the faster pace of play we saw last night and then against Portland and Sacramento. I don't see any reason we can't up the pace of play next year, and I hope we do.

I really like Cotton and Johnson looks intriguing. I wish we had more data points on both, but if we can get that kind of energy and shooting of the bench consistently from these two, I think they might have a future. In any case, it was a fun game.

If that's who Cotton is, then I do wonder what's the value added of Burke? But like many may have mentioned, probably not wise to go off too half cocked on such a small sample set. I see these two at the minimum getting invited back to camp over the summer and next year.

Well done

The last few games we won with zero of our original starters playing. (Burks, favors, Hayward, Trey, and kanter)

I'm impressed and ready for next season
The more I watch the jazz, the more convinced I become that it pretty much doesn't matter who you put out there with Rudy roaming the middle and QS on the bench, the Jazz will win a lot of games.

Happy to know I'm not the only one who has been attacked for being a fan in my own team's arena. I snapped a pic of the old man but I'll refrain from posting it. Suffice it to say he looked like a slightly thinner Mr. Belvedere, including the mustache.

I hope they do go to Vegas this year though, last chance for us to see them up so close before Delta Center is perma-packed from us being a top 5 power ranking team next year.

During last game, bouler mentioned about doing both of utah and vegas summer league. I think they are participating both. :D

I sure as hell hope so. Especially with all the speculations on trades and draft picks... I want to see how Q measures up talent and distributes the minutes. Guy is a mad genius. You can see it in his eyes! I think we got extremely lucky on how our whole organization has landed after we just let Sap and Al walk.
