What's new

Do you think Trey wants to be traded?

With all of Eenie-Meenie's secret powers, I'm pretty disappointed in the evidence he's provided here.

Maybe we can trade him for Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Deng

I know Trey hasn't been what most of us hoped that he could become so far. But even though he hasn't worked out, it does get me excited to know that DL is willing to move up for a guy that he thinks fits in with the rest of the team. If Winslow or hezonja is sitting at around 7-8, I don't doubt that DL will try to move up for his guy (whomever that may be) rather than wait and take the best project available at 11-13 (wherever they end up). Jazz are still in development, but getting close to contending in the 16-17 and 17-18 seasons. I want the Jazz to get someone now that will help with that rather than save all the mid-late first rounders they have for the offseasons preceding those season. They simply don't have room for 4 1st round picks on the roster for those 2 years.

Or maybe he just has a back ailment.

I agree. Hayward and Favors are starters. They're getting paid a LOT and will get paid even more in a few years. Burke has gone from starter to sub. I DO think he's legitimately hurt. Last few games mean nothing. It's more important right now to have these players healthy for their off-season programs.

But I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Trey wants a trade. He's on a rookie deal. If someone views him as a starter, he could get a decent deal in 2 years. But he's not going to start with Utah.

Trey routinely rates as one of the worst PGs in the league using analytics. Just which team would want him as its starting PG? Just how much demand is there for a ball dominant, inefficient point guard who doesn't get to the line, is limited attacking the paint, doesn't assist much, and can't shoot the ball?

Perhaps Trey is reasonably self aware and realizes this about himself and that he needs to improve before he develops an entitlement attitude. Everything I've ever heard about Trey is that he works very hard to improve and has a great, professional attitude. Besides, he's still getting major minutes, he might just also realize that with the Jazz he's getting more playing time than he can reasonably expect elsewhere.

Not everyone is an entitled, self-awareness lacking douche like Kanter.

Strange, I saw Trey Burke's picture on the Gillette display at walmart yesterday. He was wearing Michagan yellow.

This might not match the thread tittle but I felt it fit right into the dialogue.

This is a ridiculous comment to a serious question. Everyone knows no such thing is happening. But we really don't know about Trey. He just could be saying nice things about Utah so he doesn't make the same mistake as Kanter. And you know if he does want to be traded, he would ratchet up his game so other teams would want him. He did at one point say he would like to play for Detroit.

It's my opinion, man! Don't be so close minded.

Yeah don't be so close minded man:
