Following potential 2015 draftees

This draft is going to be fun to watch. It's interesting to see Dunn was going anywhere between 10-27. The only drafts I really follow are NBADRAFT.NET, ESPN, CBS & Hoops Hype.

It sucks Dunn is returning to college. AHH!

I like Dunn, Turner & Looney. I like Stanley Johnson also but doubt he'll be there at 12.

I hope to God we don't draft Cauley-Stein or Oubre.

The good news is DL has a chance to draft someone who's solid. I trust him.

i really like hezonja but we won and he played well.

I liked looney for a while until hood started playing better (still concerned about his feet)

i guess the guy i pimp the most in justin anderson would love that guy

Was there an announcement on Caris LeVert from Michigan? He's a decent shooter, but probably late first-round now with his injury.

Decision day could be almost here.

Following a Monday evening report from The Michigan Daily stating Caris LeVert will announce his NBA draft decision on Tuesday, a Michigan basketball spokesman could not confirm the report, but said some news could be on the way.

"We are hopeful to have some more information tomorrow," the U-M spokesman said.

Excluding a future first, i would say #10.

Including a future first? I would say to about #6.

Yeah, I agree. I think the Jazz should really consider doing this and add another important piece to the team. The Jazz are already young enough and don't need to start adding more young players in the mix.

Okay, so, let's say if the Jazz traded 12th, 42nd, 54th and future 1st to move up. How far will that move us up in the lottery?

#14 & #21 landed us #9, although that was a weaker draft.

I could see that package getting up to around #7 or #8 possibly.

Here are some plausible trade-up scenarios:

* 12 + Hood = 7 or 8

* 12 + Burke = 9 or 10

* 12 + Exum = 4 or 5 -- Jazz won't do this.

* 12 + Favors = 2 or 3 -- Jazz won't do this.

I'm not saying the Jazz should do this, but this might be what teams are asking for. The only deals that look worth it to me are the first two, depending on how the draft unfolds. It's unfortunate that Burke hasn't played better, since he's the most obvious guy to move.

OKC is in win-now mode and would probably trade #14 for a player, like Hood. At that point, we would probably keep Hood.

Yep, the top 5 would barely be lottery picks most other years. Too much of a drop off after 10 to move from 12 to 6, maybe 8-9 with a future first involved. Last year the magic traded #12, 2017 first and a 2015 second to move up to #10 for Payton, and 6ers probably knew their guy Saric would be available. #6 would be way too high as thats giving up Winslow, WCS, Porzingas, Johnson, or even Russell for possibly Oubre, Looney, Turner, Dekker.

Realistically, I don't think the Jazz can get higher than 9 or 10 in this draft without moving a marquee player. It would have to be a team like Miami or Charlotte that doesn't want to wait on a young rookie and instead prefers something like Hood or Pleiss + 12. They'd then take Jerian Grant at 12.

If Hezonja or Porzingis (or maybe Johnson) drop to 9, this would be worth doing.
