I'm concerned Hezonja might be taken by Orlando at #5. They need a shooting wing.
That's who I would take.

I think they've been playing Aaron Gordon at the 3 though and of course Oladipo at the 2.
I think they desperately need a PF to pair with Vucevic.
Here's what I think happens:
1- Minnesota - Towns goes first as a franchise center
2- Knicks - Okafor goes second as a franchise center
3- Sixers - Russell goes as PGOTF who can play some SG if need be
4- Lakers - Mudiay goes as a versatile power guard
5- Magic - I think they take Hezonja here, though Porzingis is a possibility
6- Kings - I think they take Porzingis to space the floor for Cousins
7- Nuggets - I think they take WCS as a defensive anchor
8- Detroit - I think they take Johnson because he might play either forward spot, though they might try to trade the pick and look at versatile PFs to replace Monroe; Oubre and Looney are possibilities as well.
9- Charlotte - I think if they get Winslow, they're happy, as they need a shooting wing.
10- Miami - They need PG insurance for Dragic and Napier who can also play some SG -- they take Jerian Grant
11 - Indiana -- I have no idea. They could go Kaminsky, Lyles, Looney, Payne, or Oubre. I don't think they want to wait on Turner.
I think the Jazz could offer Trey Burke, a future first and 12 to Detroit, enabling the Jazz to have their choice of Johnson or Oubre if that's what they want. Detroit gets a replacement for Augustine, an alternative to Jackson, a future pick and their choice of Lyles, Looney, Portis, Booker, etc. Oubre might be there if they want a wing.
I never understood why people think Detroit would want any part of Trey Burke. Because he goes to Michigan? So what?
They've already got Jennings and I'm pretty certain they'll re-sign Jackson as well (why else would they trade for him? a 3 month rental?). They are LOADED at the PG position.
It has some merit. Jennings is coming of an Achilles tear and may not be the same ever again. Jackson may get an offer they don't like... Problem is timing. Draft is before free agency.
Jennings is out with a torn Achilles and they traded out Augustine. They're not real deep at PG.
Jackson also didn't play well, and it's not 100% certain they'll re-sign him.
Monroe is unrestricted, so they'll need a starting-caliber PF. That's something they can get at 12, while picking up another asset. Either Oubre or Looney is also likely to be there at 12, if they want a wing to replace Tayshaun Prince.
Anyone catch this tweet by Sam Amico?

Wow, an anonymous NBA scout said that? How interesting.
Van Gundy seems to be all about win now. He's their GM. They'll match any offers on Jackson or else why would they have given up on all that assets to get him?
The thing is, all scouts probably aren't good at their job just like not all coaches/players are good at their job.
Russell going to be a God.
