Just for fun, and because Cy and I have been at odds over this topic, and it is the boring off season. Vote for your top 5 Jazz Players of All Time. I had to make some executive decisions to narrow it down to 10, so here you go. Too make it easy I just used the win shares list from here: link with some minor tinkering. I also left off anyone from the current team, mostly just for space and to minimize recency bias.

Pick 5.

Pete Maravich
Adrian Dantley
John Stockton
Karl Malone
Jeff Hornacek
Andrei Kirilenko
Deron Williams
Mehmet Okur
Carlos Boozer
Paul Milsap

Malone
Stockton
Dantley
Dwill
Pistol

Maravich played for Utah 1 year.

Never got past the 2nd round of the playoffs. Only got to the playoffs 4 years. Overrated and not part of UTAH Jazz history.

Well, I could care less about how long a player played for the Jazz. I like to think of it as how good you could be for my team if I needed you for one game when you were at your best. And favorite player has a lot to do with it.

I'll take these five.

Stockton
Dwill
Hayward
Malone
Gobert

Can't find ostertag on the list....

Anyone not voting Maravich... ummm..... umm...

You do realize he was voted one of the 50 greatest players ever right?

There are 3 no brainers - Stockton, Malone, Dantley. And Eaton needs to be on this list. He had way more impact on the outcome of games than a number of those listed.

You do realize he was voted one of the 50th greatest players, right?

And never got out of the 2nd round of the playoffs and only made the PO 4 years?

Ummmm.... he is what we would call "overrated player getting stats on bad teams and enjoys it more than winning". He was style over substance.

Am I living in some type of bizarro world where Maravich never existed?!

Horny needs to be listed. I would have had him over Okur or Boozer in my voting.

So Chris Paul isn't one of the top-5 players in the NBA because he's never been out of the 2nd-round round..

He's also made the playoffs nearly every year of his career and his teams win every year. Don't twist what I'm saying. Also, CP3 career isn't over and he plays to win, not just for stats.
