Pick 5

No votes for boozer huh? I guess sloanfeld really doesn't have an alt here. Huh.

I guess we have a different interpretation of the question. If Jordan signed with Jazz but then got injured in the first quarter of his only game with the team, I would consider him the best player to ever play for the team.
If that's the case then my top five Jazz players are Malone, Stockton, Dominique Wilkins, Pete Maravich and Daryl Dawkins. Three of those guys didn't actually do much as members of the Utah Jazz, but they were technically part of our team at one point.

If I could vote current players on to the list I'd be highly tempted to include Rudy Gobert. I'm sure Denver fans feel the same way. I'll bet nearly every Nuggets fan would list him among the top centers to ever be property of their team. I'm sure they love cheering for him and following his progress even though his time as a Nugget was pretty much meaningless (just as you would have apparently enjoyed that theoretical quarter of Jordon basketball).

Pretty sure Sloanfeld actually was Boozer. No one else, not even Boozer's mom, could have possibly been so blind to who he really was. That guy lived in his own country called The Republic of Self-Delusion.

You forgot Darrell Griffith and Mark Eaton. As a result the list is a joke.

So who would you have left off to include Griff and Eaton? You can always make your own claims and then avoid being a joke yourself.

I would include Griffith and Eaton before Millsap, Okur, and Boozer. I love all three of those guys (in Boozer's case loved) but they belong on an all time favorites, not all time best. You might as well put Matt Harpring and Bryon Russell on the list if you are including Millsap.

D-Will averaged about 22 and 10 in 44 playoff games for us.

PETE MARAVICH NEVER WENT TO TEH PLAYOFFS WITH THE JAZZ, NOT EVEN THE NEW ORLEANS JAZZ!!!

Maravich > Dwill?

Get the **** out *** clowns.

If only one could list every jazz player ever in the poll. It's not Log's fault that you can't make polls with a bazillion choices.

Maravich played for Utah 1 year.

Never got past the 2nd round of the playoffs. Only got to the playoffs 4 years. Overrated and not part of UTAH Jazz history.
He didn't say UTAH Jazz history. He said Jazz history and there is no denying his rep with the franchise.

Agreed. I also would have put Griffith and Eaton ahead of those three.

No Harpring? C'mon Jazz Nation! We need to hear from you!

On a serious note, Mark Eaton should be included over Memo and Millsap. Eaton is quickly becoming one of them most underrated players in Jazz history. Anyone who saw the '88 series against the Lakers knows what I'm saying. If he could have stayed healthy for five more years, the Jazz would have Houston's championships* from '94 and '95.

There are 3 no brainers - Stockton, Malone, Dantley. And Eaton needs to be on this list. He had way more impact on the outcome of games than a number of those listed.
I agree Eaton should be on the list. I don't think he's top 5 but he's better than Okur, AK, Millsap and Boozer and it's not even close.

And never got out of the 2nd round of the playoffs and only made the PO 4 years?

Ummmm.... he is what we would call "overrated player getting stats on bad teams and enjoys it more than winning". He was style over substance.

So what are your thoughts on Dantley?

I wish I could have included more players. I took the list originally from the all-time win shares list on bball reference, and tweaked it a bit. I could do a few of these to come up with a final group to draw from.

Maybe they are choosing talent-wise instead of playoffs. You are like those basketball players who calculate player success and goodness with number of rings.
