Jefferson
Fess

This makes our frontcourt much bigger. Fess will provide length and energy down low and puts Jefferson back at PF. Millsap comes off the bench and maybe it will make him perform better. I still think the issue is Millsap and Jefferson dont fit too well with eachother.

One small adjustment.

he can throw up 3 fouls in less than a minute. Not many can say that. Better start him

Like it, then the Jazz can start sending teams to the FT line at the 7-min mark of the first quarter, by which time Sap and Bell will have replaced both Fes&Gordan with 2 fouls. Then the old gang will be back together.

I do agree with the premise though - Millsap shouldn't be starting at PF next to Jefferson.

Millsap subbing in at the 10:00 mark is SOOOOOOO much better than him starting.

I agree...Fess starting would cut Milsaps mins by 4 minutes, 2 in the first quarter and 2 in the third quarter.

Fess stat line would be...4 min played, 5 fouls, 2 TO, 0-1 FG :)

y'all realize that Fes's (and Hayward's) mistakes that get him into foul trouble are pretty well explained by lack of consistent playing time, right?

I'm not saying that is the ONLY reason, but it is a pretty seductive analysis.

You realize that Fess' lack of consistent playing time is pretty well explained by his mistakes and foul trouble, right?

Nice circular analysis. He will never get to play then.

Yeah, you're right, Dude doesn't deserve the chance to work it out.... even though he is EXACTLY what we need on this team sans foul trouble. repppppp'd, I see the light.

That's the thing. People seem to think that Fess will somehow be the guy who backed Nene in and dunked on him every night if ONLY he got 20 minutes a night and the three fouls in 30 seconds will somehow disappear.

Did well for Ostertag. We all love him for his consistent, great play night in and night out, right?

Fes playing more often is probably not going to help with his constant fouling. Don't get me wrong, like everybody else I've been praying for Fes to finally "get it". The sad fact is, he still doesn't and he probably never will. I've heard a few people close to the Jazz orginization say that Sloan wants more than anything to give Fesenko the chance but Fes is still too concerned with being a party animal and a goof-ball.

look, dude, I already reppp'd you. I can't give you another after the brilliant Fes=Ostertag mathematica.
