Pelicans Coach Canned

Pretty clear the decision was made by management on "higher" issues than the success, and likely reflects philosophical beliefs on style and emphasis, long-term. I'd say smart management is the kind of management that can make the most of the talent they have, and they certainly did that in working with what they had this year. Only the future will show if they actually have a better concept for the future, or will find someone who will succeed for them. Odds are, not really good.

It's like me saying I can get a better wife if I find someone who won't talk back. . . . A terrible move, even if wifey doesn't agree with me on anything, because she is actually smarter than me, in the things she takes care of.

lmfao.

Gameface, when are you gonna start paying attention to the NBA again?

It seems that before the season the front office told the coaching staff that we will fire you unless you make the playoffs. Well they made the playoffs courtesy of Enes but I guess losing 4 straight to the Warriors put the nail in the coffin.

Looking at the Pels coach, I really think this is another good example of how you kinda need a doze of insanity in your coach's character to scare off the spoiled players and make them obey any command you throw.

JVG is in consideration for the vacancy. He's a little nutso, but I've always liked him. Especially after "leg-gate".
