What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

minnesota is going to take towns and they are going to be looking like a very good young team.

I am pretty sure that the lakers are going to take Russell and create a back court of Clarkson and Russell

Philly will be fun to watch if Okafor is still on the board but I wouldnt put it past then to draft Okafor and create a 3 headed monster in Noel, embiid and okafor but personally i dont like that fit and have them taking mudiay

The knicks seemed to be the big losers on draft night but are excited that they got Okafor.

the magic are also a an up and coming young team but are not ready to compete yet but are getting close. They need shooting more then anything and take a flyer on one of the best shooting big men in the draft porzingis.

I have said this all year that sacto was going to take WCS and I am not going to go away from that.

the nuggets are excited to get a quality player in winslow

The piston are a wild card right here and a lot of people think they are going to go with one of the wings but SVG likes shooting bigs and Turner is also a good defender

The hornets like booker a lot but Hezonja is BPA but weirder things have happened. The hornets are scared off of the bad attitude and selfish players and draft Booker here.

Miami needs a lot but with age setting in on their stars they want to win now and Johnson is more ready then Hezonja and could be loul deng 2.0

The pacers are dancing a jig seeing Hezonja still on the board

Jazz have a lot of options and look long and hard at Looney, lyles, portis and Kaminsky, but feel Kaminsky is the best fit with the roster they have and will help the team make a push next year for the play offs. He can add a lot of the offensive talent of Kanter with better defense.

Jazz need to take Frank if he falls to 12, IMO. Booker probably makes sense if Frank isn't there, but it's a bummer that it won't address a backup SF woe that we have. It would be awesome to have defense and solid shooting at the 3 spot behind Hayward.

i am hoping the jazz grab another pick later and nab Justin Anderson to fill that role.

Not excited about Oubre. I've warmed to Kaminsky though.

I'm not excited about many of the wings - because of the glut of really good players on the roster there already. But if it's one that we think is going to be special, well, that's different. Who do I think might be special? Johnson. And Booker's got a nice stroke. Although I think I'd take Kaminsky before Booker. And there are quite few others that I like. Super excited about the options at 12 - IF the jazz keep the pick (and don't select Oubre). Sorry, Fish.

I don't have an opinion on Hezonja or Porzingis. I'm aware of the hype though, but I'd be afraid to pull the trigger when there are so many other great options. But I don't know anything. And, luckily, I have supreme confidence in the Jazz FO. Well, maybe not supreme (hated DL trading that pick last year for nothing), but I have confidence in the FO nonetheless.

I'm on the Kaminsky bandwagon right now.
DL mentioned Jazz don't want more young players to develop.
They would consider trading pick for a young vet.
Kaminsky is a ready to play senior.
He is already a young vet.
He should be able to come in and figure things out pretty quick.
Kaminsky would also be a great interview.
Imagine him and Gobert and T Booker etc after a game.
It would be great fun.

I'm excited about that prospect also PLUS:

- Kaminsky seems to be a lot smarter as a team player - you can run plays through him, the ball seems to 'stuck' with Kanter

- He is a decent passer also with 2.6 assists per game

- He already has a much better range than Kanter too shooting 41.6% from college 3's.

BUT my main concern would be whether he has NBA strength and quickness to defend in the NBA. Also if he is indeed our future 3rd big, the Gobert/Kaminsky lineup could mean one of them will have to guard quicker stretch 4's and that could be an issue.

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but if Kaminsky turns out to be Channing Frye, which seems like a decent comparison for where he could end up, does that make you more or less excited about him?

So Frye is a 10 point 5 rebound per game nine year vet.
Frye only averages one assist per game.
Kaminsky should be able to match that with more assists.
I would be OK with that.
