And if neither fixes their weakness and both reach their potential for their skill then who would you rather have? Tony Allen, or Memo?

I understand being reluctant to take what could be a step back & #12/Burks/Booker for Hezonja/McRoberts is an overpay, but I look at is as trading three (likely depending on the draft pick) role-players for two (current) role-players (1 of which has the potential to become an elite scorer). I like Burks a lot & think he could be a great 6th man, but we were successful without him & while Booker did contribute to that, McRoberts should be able to do so as well. I understand not wanting to take a step back or overpay, but swapping a 6th man & probable backup (which is what our options currently appear to be at #12) for a player that has the type of potential that Hezonja has could be the difference between winning a title & falling just short as we have in the past. Also, I don't know DEN's cap situation, but even tho I think Burks' contract will eventually become a steal with the cap increase (as will McRoberts'), if the Nuggets could take his salary it would give us a lot of options in FA & the ability to fill the need that we would likely be draft at #12 (backup big) as well as other holes. It's a risk worth taking imo.

Good fair post except I would say that Burks has as much defensive potential as Mario.
He has good size, length, athleticism, and speed.

Not sure I hate Europeans when I've been a huge fan of AK-47, Memo, and most European players the Jazz have had. As lottery round draft prospects I'm usually not that high on them. I go base off what I see in games, and I don't watch European games.

Yeah, Otto Porter is way better than Nerlens Noel. Did you not see Otto lock-down Derozan? OP is so much better than Noel and Len, combined.

I thought you quit JF? DId you have to come back just to jump on this **** once again?

Lol never suggested drafting Dee Bost. Never ever. Just said I liked him and would be interested in a camp invite (which he got this past year).

Royce though...... yeah, I'm not a psychiatrist. Didn't seem him being that weird. I think the Mavs are using him in SL this year.
 
I like Jonas and Knight in the Kanter draft, with me getting hyped on Jonas the most because it seemed a stretch to draft Knight that high. So much for that hating International players, huh PointSuckAB?

Comes down to philosophy. For me, I like a strong defense. I live it. I preach it. I teach it. But I'd still draft Frank. I like that he can shoot from anywhere if left open. If he can muster a solid defensive effort (which I believe Snyder can coax out of him) then his offense is more valuable than RHJ's defense. Wouldn't mind seeing the Jazz try to fix that shot though. If he does, he could be special.
 
To be fair, Cy was pretty high on Hezonja in the beginning of the year, he seems to have mellowed on him, which is alright - people move up and down draft boards all the time. I haven't noticed him being prejudiced against Euro players by any means. I also hate that constant pointing to previous picks made by users in order to discredit their argument about current prospects. Well guess what, if you express opinions about enough prospects, you will get some wrong... likewise, if you express opinions about enough players, you will get some right.

That shaming and bragging about who you got right and who others got wrong is pretty disgusting if you ask me. Guess what, none of us are employed as scouts. And even those employed as scouts don't get even close to getting everything right. I'd much prefer to discuss prospects based on what we are seeing them do now with arguments about those specific prospect, than using previous misses or hits to justify or attack people's opinions.

Oh, you were wrong about X, well I guess I can ignore everything you say now about Y then. (subtitute 'you' with DL, X with Trey Burke and Y with Gobert and you will see just how ridiculous those types of arguments are) That's a game without winner really and doesn't really add anything to the discussion.
 
If I knew RHJ will become even a 35% 3p shoter I'd take him top 5.

That possibility actually is the reason I wouldn't mind us taking him #12. I don't think it's likely he will become average 3p shooter in the league, but if there is a small chance he does, he will be a tremendous player.

I agree with this but you must understand that part of the reason cy gets harassed about this stuff is because he brags so much when he is right, points out when others are wrong more than anyone, and is often rude to others.

He makes his bed, he can lie in it. He is a big boy who dishes out every bit as much as he gets.
 
Thing about Dekker is that he had to play in a super slow offense that didn't get many fast break and opportunities and often played in the final seconds of shot clocks. I think he will look a lot better in the NBA.
