What's new

Game Of Thrones

It's gonna be weird reading book 6 and waiting for Tyrion to meet up with Kalesi, and following Sansa and Petyr as they hang out in the Vail with sweet Robin.

As a reader of the Walking Dead series, I've learned to separate the two. At least GoT resembles the books.

Sandor's dead?
I don't remember if it was confirmed

I think in the books it's not a sure thing and there is alot of speculation

I haven't seen confirmation. All you have is Arya walking away from a dead looking Sandor in the books and about the same (if I remember right) in the show.

Sandor's the Hound, right? It's been a while since I've read the books. Or are we talking about his brother? Either way, I have the answer for you.

Idk how to do the spoiler thing on my phone so I just wont say it.

Ok I am officially sick of the guy forcing situations for his characters to mention the phrase "game of thrones". Every book has a half dozen or more references to it from characters so diverse that I cannot imagine how they all come up with the same term. People from different countries and different continents for hell's sake. I hate it because it takes me out of the story. I read the part where Tyrion, now Hugor or whatever, was playing cyvvasse with the dude on the ship (can't remember names, after 8000 names it gets hard) and it felt so staged right from the beginning, so I said to myself "here comes another 'Game of Thrones' reference" and sure enough. It was wholly contrived and did nothing to move the plot along. I think GRRM is getting lost in his world and therefore is having a hard time focusing on the story.

I thought both Cleganes were now dead, at least in the books, barring some deus ex magica that brings them back to life.

Well gregor is being worked on by that dude who is like a maester but not one (I think he works for cersie) in kings landing.
Gregor gonna be a zombie bro.

Sandor is never officially proclaimed dead and some believe that he is living a peaceful life as a gravedigger (a character mentioned briefly in one of the books..... Book 4 iirc).

Idk. All I know is if he has many more characters go on and on about playing the game of thrones I'm gonna puke, or something.

Come on, you win or you die when you play the game of thrones. Now, let's go break our fast with stuffed capon, some honeywine, some dog sausage, some oxtail soup, some...

Martin could cut hundreds of pages if he just stopped writing about the food.

You've seen a picture of the guy, right? Why would you want to take out a subject he's an expert on?

Yup, this is a much bigger issue than characters saying "game of thrones" alot. He goes on and on and on about food.
