I agree that Felton would probably be bought out (or kept and flipped at the deadline ala Steve Novak), but the Jazz paid $3 million and pick #46 for #27 in a weak draft.Maybe, but he would be a Jazzman shorter than Kendrick Perkins. A mid first for 4 million seems pricey, but it is a deep draft and the Fed is inflating the dollar every day so maybe it is fmv.
I could easily see them going for this type of deal. If things break right for them, they get a stud at #12 and a better-than-expected player at #21. I sure wouldn't mind seeing the Jazz end up with the Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, Rudy Gobert or Rodney Hood of this draft. I like the mid-to-late players this year more than any of the past 3 drafts.
Hell, I'm aggressive, so I'd then try to trade up from #54 and grab the best draft and stash guy that you can. Get 3 good prospects out of this draft = win.
