Lyles has a Greg Monroe type of skillset but with a more dangerous face-up game. If he can continue to refine his handle, shooting and athleticism, he will prove to be well worth a lottery pick.
His strengths offensively are more nuanced than many of the prospects being discussed. he interprets the defense well, knows when to pick his spots, and shows an adept touch around the rim. It's understated just how advanced skill-wise he is for a 19 year old, and it's certainly not out of the realm of possibilities that he develops consistent NBA 3pt range.
Obviously his interviews aren't the most charismatic, he's basketball player though - I'm sure PKM can speak on his personality better than I. Lyles seems to carry himself in an understated, level-headed, low-key type of way. It sort of looked like he was the guy reminding Towns not to get too amped sometimes on the bench during blowouts, the type to crack a smile/cut the mood next to a player barking at the refs.
