What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

I like Lyles. He seems very mature and makes some very intelligent plays on the basketball court. He's got good size, is a good enough athlete, but most importantly, the Jazz are banking on him being hardworking and playing smart, winning basketball on every play.

I think Bledsoe is great for most of the game, but is not good when the pace slows. His lack of consistent shooting, and inability to always make proper decisions with the ball, slows him down. Those are certainly things that can improve, however.

If I'm the Knicks I'm trying to trade Melo to the Lakers for Julius Randle and their unprotected 2016 pick.

Not sure the finacials for the Lakers, Knicks may have to take back some unwanted salary, but that would allow them to tank another year and get what would likely be a late lottery prick from the Laker's next year.

Lakers have already traded their 2016 pick. And their 2018 pick if I'm not mistaken.

Can you imagine how much better we would have been last year if we had gotten 17, 6, & very good defense out of our PG position as a whole, let alone just our starting PG? 17, 6, & very good defense might not be special in what has seemingly become a PG league, but it's still pretty damn good. I would trade Burke/Burks for Bledsoe without hesitation.

Edit: I stand corrected. After doing the research that I should have done before posting, I found that we actually got 17.1 & 6.1 (minus the very good defense when Burke was on the court) out of the PG position as an entire unit. I still stand by the rest of my statement.

At the very least I'd trade #12 for Bledsoe.

"Rondae Hollis-Jefferson said he has workouts with Utah, Sacramento, and Atlanta remaining."

Edit: Sacramento? They own the 6th pick and nothing else. Rhj is mocked in the late teens early twenties.

I'm more excited about this draft than any other - maybe because we're on the cusp of competing and will be a playoff team next year. Hoping for Johnson>Turner>Frank>Dekker>Booker

WCS could slip to 12 - in that event I think Johnson & Turner would both be gone and so I'd be cool with drafting him if those two were off the board.

Though I think DL will consider a trade if it's too good to pass up.

Maybe Hollis-Jefferson is the under the radar secret of the draft. People are downplaying his worth because they really want him. They realize that he really can add shooting to his superior defensive skills and will be the steal of the draft. Maybe he is this year's Gobert.

Or maybe we've spent so much time hyping every other potential prospect in our range that I'm just getting bored and it would be fun to talk about someone else.

17 points and 6 assist for a PG isn't anything that special. He is a very good defensive PG, Ill give him that. I'm just not a fan of him at a stacked position.

For the Knicks it makes sense though. They have a window of about 3-4 years before Melo falls off a cliff. Melo/Bledoe/+max free agent can do some damage.

The players that I like that will probably go in the mid to later 1st rd are Jerian Grant, RHJ, Justin Anderson, Montrezl Harrell, Dekker and Jordan Mickey. Jazz should trade their 2 2nd rd picks this year and a future pick to move in the late 1st rd and get one of these guys.

I don't care where you're drafting, after years of Melo , I wouldn't be trading for any more pricks.

Took me a bit to make this, but it looks pretty good to me.

No thanks

Didn't we trade a second rounder and cash for Gobert, the 27th pick?

I think Bledsoe is a bit overrated. He's not a great ball mover, he's a bit of a diva and he's been getting injured. I don't know if you can win with Bledsoe. Maybe he's a top 10 - 12 PG. Maybe.

If the price is the 12th pick and expirings for Bledsoe you do it... that's a good trade for us. He's a tremendous defender and with Gobert and Favs behind him he could gamble a bit more.
