Following potential 2015 draftees

Also, Frank has never said he won't play for Utah. He just named 3 teams he would prefer to play for, doesn't mean he is against playing for Utah, it's just not a top 3 destination.

Also we don't know how much of that is purely agent driven.

I swear, those sports agents are all like Senator/Emperor Palpatine from star wars. lol They have their way of making/influence the players they represent say what themselves want to say.

I actually think I could get excited about Lyles if and only if Towns, Russell, Okafor, Mudiay, Porzingis, Hezonja, Winslow, Johnson, WCS, Booker, and Turner were all gone in the first 11 picks.

Derrick Favors height w/ shoes 6'10.25, 245 lbs, wingspan 7'4, standing reach 9'2.

Trey Lyles height w/ shoes 6'10.25, 241 lbs, wingspan 7'2, standing reach 9'0.

I'm just trying to paint a picture of what kind of size Lyles has, Favors is longer, but they're essentially the same as far as height and weight goes.

We would have a nice three big rotation:

Favors
Gobert

Lyles
Favors

Lyles
Gobert

and if we wanted to go small Lyles could play center in small ball lineups. I watched Kentucky quite a bit and Lyles stood out as far as his mid range game goes. He can consistently hit a 15-footer from the corner, from the elbow, from the top of the key, etc. He isn't post oriented, so he would fit in with Favors and Gobert in that regard.

I'm just trying to be prepared for any situation, but in DL I trust.

Why not take a chance on Oubre? Much higher ceiling than Lyles.

I'm thinking Kaminsky's defense won't be great and he won't do well in the post scoring. So his ceiling is probably Ryan Anderson? He's going to be a 4 too.

I totally agree. I'm just saying I'm preparing for anything.

Lol, yep... we are preparing to be forced to like anybody. I have to make a thread I was thinking about a while ago where we say BEFORE the draft who we will be happy with and who we won't be.

Just the same if we pass on Kaminsky and DL says we pAssed due to him not coming for a visit. A ton of u would be calling for DL's dead and don't go denying it either. I f u r DL and think Kaminsky is best player available u take him regardless of weather he comes or not. Period, end of story.

I would be on board if the Jazz took Kaminsky, but I would question it if it was ahead of Turner.

Yeah, Jazz are pretty set at all positions so I think they take a swing on Turner's upside before going safe with Frank. But if Turner's there and they pass on him I would assume they discovered something health wise amiss with him.

You need to have a snickers man, you aren't you when you're hungry.

Kaminsky isn't BPA as it is, I'd rather have Towns, Russell, Okafor, Porzingis, Mudiay, Winslow, Hezonja, WCS, Johnson, Booker, Turner, Oubre, and probably Dekker. That's 13 guys, obviously I'm not the one making decisions, but you get the point.
Good list. I personally might add a couple more names but yours looks great.

I'm on the anti Wisconsin bandwagon. No to both Dekker and Frank at 12. Too many other guys I'd rather see the Jazz draft.

Kaminsky would get a decent amount of time off the bench for us. Really pissing me off his agent isnt letting him work out for us. I'm souring a little on him because of the reports of his attitude. It could be inaccurate, but my gut tells me to worry.

I can't help but think the Jazz are going to entertain a discussion with the Knicks about moving Favors for the #4 pick. If they think this Porzingis guy is going to be awesome, I think DL has the balls to make that deal.

It won't go away for me.

I honestly don't know how I would feel about that. Favors gets the short end of the stick on here. Whenever there is a trade discussion for a big move its always Favors. Partly because he's a valuable asset, but it feels like partly because we underrate him. He is a 17 and 8 guy on a good contract and he's only 23, and most importantly he wants to be in Utah he likes it here.

I would do it for Russell, but I'm not buying the hype on Porzingis just yet.
