Following potential 2015 draftees

1280 is loving Sam Decker as the Jazz pick. I don't get the Decker love. He is a descent shooter, but not a tremendous shooter. He doesn't have the athletic ability of Oubre nor does he have the length for his position. I'm hoping we avoid the Wisconsin players. The Jazz are hanging their hat on being the best at player development. Let's draft a tremendous athlete with huge upside and teach him how to play NBA ball. I'm hoping for Turner or Oubre, but both may be gone at 12.

Not if Kaminsky have to chase the likes of Ryan Anderson on the perimeter bombing away 3's.... Gobert can't help him there.
Meh.
Play a 3-2 zone. The nba won't know what hit them. (That's my favorite defense to play in nba 2k video games btw)

Yeah, Gobert will be playing 48 minutes every game. Wait, why are we drafting a backup big?
You can actually rotate and mix and match players in the nba. It's not even against the rules either

Double ****.

Sounds like some BS to me... I would have really wanted him in. I want to see how broke his shot is.

This ain't the 50s.... find a different flight damnit

Whatever we draft at 12 will be a backup.
We need a backup big more than a backup wing or pg.
We don't even have a center on the roster coming off the bench right now.

Also, the jazz will probably just draft bpa regardless of position..... Which the jazz may feel Frank is depending on how the teams ahead of them draft

He has position flexibility and could be a good enough shooter. I know its just typical white on white comp but I think he's Chandler Parsons with a little more length.

Unlikely.... RHJ would want every opportunity to climb the board wouldn't he?

He may have a promise in our range... fit is more important than draft position.

I think his point was if you want Gobert covering up for Kaminsky why do we even draft Kaminsky in the first place?

Isn't Kaminsky supposed to be 'backing up' and giving rests to Gobert?

The only way I see Frank as being worth the Jazz picking him, is if he is able to play with both Favors and Gobert. I don't like Favors as a C because he is a great defensive PF, and only average at C. If we are only OK with Kaminsky when he is playing with Gobert, then what will we do when Favors is playing? I was OK with Tomic being the backup big, because he has a little more length, and experience, and we aren't getting him at the cost of another player with more upside. I like a lot of other players as backups before Frank, especially if he can't play C.

Fair enough but in this nba teams are throwing lots of different looks at different times.
If Frank is as good a shooter as he is hyped then he can definitely help the jazz who need shooting.
Also, Frank is good at putting the ball on the floor and going past his man to the hoop when they close out on his long ball so it's not like he is some big lurpy stiff who can't move.
He is also a good passer.

He is more than just a shooter...... Though he is a VERY good shooter

Some nights Frank will be a 5 and some nights a 4. Depends on matchups

LOL .. dunno about these so called "promises".... nothing ever seems to have come of it.

Almost every year there are promise guys... at very least he may have a really good feeling from a team.

Actually OKC who's the rumored promise for Payne has an extensive record of promising picks lately. Just look what they did last year with Josh Heustis, It's said that was an agreed upon beforehand type of deal. It was also said they had promised Porzingis he'd fall no further than 21. It was also said they gave and fulfilled a promise by drafting Reggie Jackson. I think im missing one too.
