What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

Can't see Turner/Gobert working any better. Turner cannot defend away from the hoop and probably never will. Much rather hope WCS or Gobert develop some offense, and I feel it's easier to just go elsewhere on offense instead of losing defense.

Cameron Payne anyone? He has been compared to the next Damian Lillard. That would mean we would have to kick Trey to the curb, but that's life.

Another notable from DX's new mock is Kelly Oubre's slipping down to #15.

Can't be due to his fantastic workouts everyone's raving about. There must be something from his background/character that doesn't quite check out for NBA teams?????

Who was it that said these things don't matter??? LOL ...

Wait, is there actually a very small chance that Justise falls to 12?!?!

Holy ****. I would freak the **** out if he fell to us. Pray, brethren #prayforJustise

WCS is an elite defender all over the floor. Can probably guard most 2 guards he will face.

WCS is an absolute no-brainer for the Jazz if he's on the board IMO. He can actually help the Jazz next season in a playoff-push type scenario, in the form of above-average production as a backup C(which is still a premium position last I checked).

They also probably believe they can help his shooting some. I think its noteworthy he's been showing steady improvement over the past 3 years at Kentucky. If he drops to 12 its not catching a falling knife, its a jackpot scenario.

Pretty sure he was talking about WCS

You're totally right.

All this thought about Justise is gettin me all dreamy. Man-- WHAT IF. And if we grabbed Tomic too?

Exum/Burke
Hood/Burks
Hayward/Winslow
Favors/Booker
Gobert/Tomic

Now tell me this team won't be clearing 50 wins with ease.

I think we'd make superb trading partners (if we nabbed him) with Boston, who brutally needs a player of his type.

They have a glut of shooters and decent wings, as well as a ton of picks.

I'm pretty sure that Winslow would have problems guarding stronger and longer wings for more than a couple possession.

I'd demand Olynyk and James Young. The Jazz would definitely be in the driver's seat in trade negotiations if Willie fell and Turner was already off the board, they could drum up a bidding war.

or

They could have Gobert on salary for 1.2mil and WCS for 1.9... Thats unreal value. Favors is a bargain too.

Problems guarding stronger wings? His strength is one of his greatest assets as a player and a defender. In terms of length, he has a 6'10"+ wingspan and 8'9" standing reach which are solid numbers - both better than Hayward to use just one example.

Winslow can guard any wing from a size/strength standpoint.

"Interesting. Tyus Jones working out today for the Nuggets. Hasn't worked out since Rockets a few weeks ago. Nuggets pick 7th"

Rumours flying everywhere that Denver is trying to move Lawson. Looks like it is happening.

As a basketball fan I like Lawson to Sacramento or Rockets.

DX has Tyus going to Rockets at 18.

Would be awesome.
He is one of my favorites in this draft

In fact I want him more than Mario or porz.

My short list.
Towns
Russell
Winslow
