Following potential 2015 draftees

I've heard Cousins wants WCS. I'd offer them to pick WCS for them and offer them Burks + 12 + next years first for them to pick Porzingis for us. +Take on Landry's contract.

Except they are going to want Hood. They would be idiots not to ask for Hood. Any move into the top 9 is likely to cost us Hood. Great value for where he was drafted, but I don't think that there are more than 6 players in this draft that are going to be better than Hood. One of those could be available at 12.

@WojYahooNBA
Sources: Lakers, Kings exchange framework of trade centered on DeMarcus Cousins today, discussions could intensify Thursday. Story soon.

Report: Raptors are exploring trades for Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, and Jonas Valanciunas

Along with the Boogie stuff...so hyped for tomorrow. Can't wait for the Wojbombs

No to trading Hood. He can EASILY be a 20-pt/game scorer if he gets enough shots. And if he doesn't, he'll be in the 16-18 pt range but be very efficient. He'll shoot 40%+ on his 3's and he also has the ability to get to the line. Plus he's now a known quantity. There's no bust factor...unless his foot gives him chronic problems. Hood is easily a lottery pick.

I'd MUCH rather have Hood + the #12 pick than the #8.

Burks and Burke are the expendables. I'm going to be LIVID if Lindsey trades any of Exum, Hayward, Gobert or Favors. And highly disappointed if he trades Hood.

Catchall,

Will you please stop trolling this board with that idiotic idea that Favors may or may not be traded.

I swear to god. It's the stupidest thing I have ever heard on this board. There shouldn't be any kind of discussion about it because the Jaz would have to be dumber than **** to do it.

Seriously, if anyone can't understand why he shouldn't be traded for any pick in this draft, with exception of the first pick, and even that would be dumb, then you are just a giant basketball illiterate noob, with no understanding of how you manage a team.

Can everyone please stop entertaining that retarded idea?

Why don't get mad please. I think he already believes with us that's dumb now. I'm with you it's dumb.

Well, since you're asking nicely....

Seriously though, if the Jazz were willing to offer Favors it would have been all over the NY media. The Jazz can keep a secret, but NY media not so much.

I wonder who we get. It's like Christmas!!!

Yep, Christmas.

It's not a question of whether I think it's dumb. It's a question of how badly Quin Snyder and Dennis Lindsay want a stretch 4, how much they like Porzingis, and how stretchy that 4 has to really be.

I could see them cooling their jets and taking Lyles or Looney, but I would bet NY would ask about Favors.

It's that whole "Jazz are going to pursue Millsap" thing from Spence Checketts that set me off.

This is expected to be the last lottery pick the Jazz will have for a while. They'd give it one last push to see if they can get an All Star-caliber player to mix in with Gobert and Exum. Obviously they like Favors and would be reluctant to move him under most circumstances.

Lol. Seriously. Wtf.

Favors IS Allstar caliber. He's just about to hit his prime. We saw last year a glimpse of how good he can be. Reseting the clock on some 19 year in hopes you get someone who might be as good as Favors, is really, really, really dumb.

If you did that, you might as well say goodbye to Hayward too, because I seriously doubt he want to wait til this new 19 year old can learn to ball.

I agree, but that price isn't the #4 pick in this draft. The Jazz have 17 picks in the next 4 drafts, including 5 unprotected picks. If that's not enough to get an unproven (but loaded with potential) rookie, then so be it.

The 76ers are constant trying to play "bigger and better" and it bites them in the ***. The Jazz have 6 solid young players - with a defensive center as their cornerstone. They have a crapload of assets to add to that group. I'm okay with swinging for the fences. . . but not when you have a runner on 3rd and all you need is a single.

Keep the core 6 players and then ADD 3 more guys to round out your playoff rotation.
Agree. The cellar dwellers just keep churning assets, trying to find the next sensation. Most of the time they miss. Utah is on the way up...WAY UP! Our starting 5 is young, hungry and talented. Do we know if they'll be all-stars? No. I think our front court is certainly on the fringes, though. Favors isn't a stretch-4, but he's a damn good defender. He makes Gobert better defensively by his presence and vice-versa.

Jury is still out on Exum. Burks is kind of an unknown in Snyder's offense, although he made strides even with an injured wing.

I really shouldn't be worried. DL and QS have said more than a few times that they like the chemistry and believe in the players currently on the roster. If a move is made, I think it centers on picks and cap relief. I believe if Booker is included in a trade, doesn't that give the Jazz $8M+ on draft day to play with (season ending cap space + Trevor's contract)? I might be wrong, but I think we have to wait until July 1st to free up our entire projected cap room as it includes denouncing exceptions, renouncing the rights to certain players, etc.

This whole stretch 4 thing is extremely overrated. Besides that, why not just make Favors a stretch 4? Then you have a stretch 4 and he's a bad *** defender.

In fact, I bet Favors starts hitting threes this next year.

Also think Gobert would have a REALLY bad attitude, say "WTF?", and ask for a trade.

You build teams around your strengths. So bottom line, Jazz need 3PT production from their wings and PG's. Which is one reason I think Hood is a better fit with the starting group than Burks.
