LOL-JAZZ

The only team with not a single rumor?? Not a whiff and here the suns come out of nowhere get Ty Chandler and are contenders for Lamarcus? What is wrong with this guys??? Jazz never even try in Free Agents!!!!

The only position where we might have a starting spot would be PG, and even so, Exum was part of our phenomenal defense.

I'd like to get Tobias Harris, but he probably won't come here for the minutes behind Hayward and Favors.

Edit: I suppose you could start Harris at the wing with Hayward.

Lol at you being scared of Brandon Knight and Tyson Chandler.

This.

Tyson Chandler is a major upgrade to center for them. If they add a legit starting PF that is a pretty dangerous team. It's just another really strong team in the West. There are going to be no easy outs in the West this year. Even Minnesota and LA will put together competitive squads.

Sorry if I have respect for good championship level players.

In the short term yes. 4 years though? At the end of that contact I think they won't like it

If you want to complain that Utah hasn't been aggressive enough in the FA market, that's more than fair. Just come up with a better example than Tyson Freakin Chandler to the Suns.

Tyson Chandler will get injured halfway through the season. He's an impact player, sure, but he's nowhere near the player he once was.

Chandler is coming off one of the best years of his career...

And that was playing on a slow team without great passing.

Suns uptempo system will be like him back in his NOLA days. He is very good addition.

Won't free agency be a flurry next year too? Cap goes up the next two years. It might be good to hold on to our money and get a good deal next year when we know our team better.

Are we seriously praising the Phoenix Suns for making another "Get ourselves stuck in 8th/9th seed hell for years" move?

If you're going to argue that getting Chandler is worth it because it gives the Suns a chance at Aldridge, I'm still not sure how that warrants bitching about the Jazz not making moves.

The Jazz were never going to lure a top free agent regardless of what other talent they brought on. Overpaying for a past-his-prime role player to take away minutes from all of the guys we're trying to develop (Exum/Burks/Hayward/Favors/Gobert/Hood/Lyles) doesn't make any sense.

I never said I wanted the Jazz to get Chandler. I'm just applauding teh Suns on a good move.

Why are you bitching about me applauding the Suns on a good signing, bitch?

The only player I'm advocating signing is Tobias Harris. Pretty sure he isn't a past-his-prime role player, dumbass.

Yeah my bad, I guess I should've clarified that I wasn't addressing you specifically with my original post. I'm referring more to the general mindset that the Jazz deserved to be mocked for not doing anything in free agency while other teams like the Suns are active. Behaving like the Suns are wouldn't make sense for the Jazz, and if the Suns can't land Aldridge I view the Chandler signing as a short-sighted move that'll only prolong their stay in the same limbo the Jazz were in with Big Al.

Chandler brings a defensive mindset and leadership to a group who needs it. It's not signing Big Al who your whole team's identity and offense has to be based around.

Have you seen the contracts going out? Chandler's deal is a relative bargain. His defensive prowess isn't really based on tremendous athletic ability, even though he use to be a tremendous athlete. He has aged well thus far and I think he will be pretty good throughout his contract until Alex Len is really ready to step up.

I'm sure that Chandler will make the Suns a better team, and I'm also sure he fits in very well for them. In the short-term.

But I'm against getting a player in a key role for you who's going to be close to retired by the time your team is ready to contend. It's a "Win now" move for a team that isn't really in a position to justify making a "win now" move. For the same reason I'm against the Jazz doing everything they can in free agency to maximize their win total in only the next two years.

You're an idiot. Please stop posting. Suns needed a defensive big. They got one. Doesn't matter when Chandler is thinking about retiring...
