What's new

Five years from now...Welcome the Las Vegas Jazz!

Ha Ha. All in good fun.

I just remembered, Vegas is a GREAT place to bury someone alive after beating them with a baseball bat.

Enjoy the cornfields, punk.;)

That would be plausible if we were talking 2001. But Las Vegas is a dying community with not backbone until this economy recovers. Some experts say that Las Vegas will never recover. The NBA would have put something there but they saw it as a "fad" town more than anything.

Well stated. Vegas would be a horrible NBA city.

Besides the fact that 2 mobsters own the Sacramento Kings, Own 50% of vegas, and still haven't moved them there.

DUH.

How much do you want to bet that this happens! ;)
No, not a viable city. UNLV basketball never comes close to a sellout. The best games are when they play BYU because believe it or not there are a lot of alumni in Vegas, so half the crowd is not cheering for the home team.

When you talk to people there, nobody is from there. Everybody has moved from another town and they bring with them their local team allegiances often.

20% of homes vacant, 71% underwater, there is a survey of metro areas in the WORLD and vegas ranked 4th worst. Utah is disneyland compared to theVegas economy. Mayor Goodman wants a team, but I can't see it being profitable...even if the economy turns.

I will be a Jazz fan no matter where they are. I highly doubt they would leave SLC. I think you are giving Sloan too much credit.
