Best shows on TV?

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell is prety good. It's a 7 episode mini-series. 6 of the episodes already aired.

Finally finished The Fall. Season 2 lived up to my expectations. Loved the show. Would watch again.

The Fall was really good. Gillian Anderson did a great job. She is on a roll right now.

She has played a great part on Hannibal.

Speaking of which when does the next season start?

And man is that a dark show. I kind of hope it lightens up a bit anyway.

Did you hear that season three will be the final season?

Agreed. The same cannot be said about "True Detective" and "Ballers".

They kind of had me from the start when the Navy pilot was talking on the pay phone (we called them sailor phones, and they cost $1/min) on the ship. I swear that was the very space that I would go to use the sailor phones on my ship. Typically you had to wait a pretty long time for a phone to open up.

I don't know what ship they filmed the interior scenes on but it clearly (to me) was not a set. They were on a Navy ship.

Jack black was typical Jack Black. Tim Robbins assistant is the manager from Workaholics and I think she's pretty great.

Not surprised. The way season 2 ended and knowing the story there isn't a lot more they can do with it. Will it all end with him saying "hello clarice"?

II knowthe time line in the books is different but that would be aa decentway to end it.

So, watching the first episode of "Fear Of The Walkind Dead."

It's shot like a feature and it's slow. Definitely character driven. If you're looking for intensity and/ or action, you are going to be disappointed.

WTF is that, a Walking Dead spin-off?

Has anyone watched Homeland? I was curious what others thought about it. I think it is a pretty strong portrayal of bi-polar disorder from an actress I really don't like. Lots of plot holes but for the most part it is pretty good.

I watched the first season. It wasn't terrible but I decided it wasn't something I wanted to waste my time on beyond that. I think it's been well reviewed so maybe I'm missing out. Oh well.

Idk, we just finished the first season. I thought it was ok. Her portrayal especially of manic-depressive is spot on, nearly Rainman level good. I have met a few folks that suffer from this for real and it is so close it is scary. I had a friend call me one night, spazzing out over something his neighbor had done. He asked me to come over the next day. I called back and talked to his wife and she told me he had gone through another bout with skipping his meds (pretty common with this disorder since they really don't understand their manic and depressive states as different than normal anyway...he always said his meds made him less fun) and had been on a manic episode for a few days. I went over the next day and he was acting EXACTLY as she does in her depressive state in the show. It was jaw dropping to me how closely she was able to pull this off. I will probably give it a second season for that reason alone.
