What's new

2015 NBA Free Agency

They said the same after Magic and then Jordan, there is always another.

The league is built on stars, if they can't find one, they will make one.

Dude, the league kind of sucked for a good 5-6 years after Jordan left.

Yeah, all of that when the majority of the NBA was awful outside of 2 teams.

I dont know about that statement. There was a lot of talent still in the league when Jordan retired and a lot of good players came into the league soon after.

The stars of the league where guys like Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Stephon Marbury, Allen Iverson, etc. Mostly high volume shot takers who didn't win all that much. There was definitely a let down period from Jordan's retirement to the mid to late 2000's.

The point though, the league will suffer when Lebron leaves. Not saying it will crumble, but it will be worse off. Love him or hate him he is a top 10 player ever.

Perfect time for the Jazz to peak.

Kobe, Shaq, Duncan and AI were the stars of the 2000's.

This is the right move though.

He would have been a disaster in Dallas. Not sure how he would score without Chris Paul.

Raymond 'Gunslinger' Felonyton, Score first, Score 2nd pass 3rd PG Devin Harris and Jameer Nelson had no problem finding Tyson Chandler mid air. DeAndre may be not as smart about timing as Tyson, but his hops make up for a lot of inaccuracy.

The league will suffer when Tim and Dirk leave. And then it will instantly reincarnate in the success of Anthony Davis, who's way more talented and unique than LeBron. Even the introverted and easily misinterpret Kevin Durant will be there. And then there's a very talented new up and coming generation waiting for their opportunity.
And very few of them seem to possess control issues like LeBron does and the ability to polarize.

Haha.. no amount of money can't buy this ****.

Weird isn't it. Deandre and his clipper playmates ruin Cuban, and Cuban retaliates by attacking the already marginalized reporter Broussard.

Has Cuban said anything about Jordan yet?

He just said he wouldn't answer his phone. Said he would talk more about it at a later date.

Thanks!

Although that is a little disappointing. I was hoping to see some fireworks. I suppose though he is not commenting because he is exploring his legal options. Yesterday there was talk that even though the NBA rules made verbal agreements non-binding, Texas tort law allows suits based on verbal agreements if a party is injured or damaged after relying on the verbal agreement. I'm interested to see how it plays out.

In the end I think daj back to lac is good for the NBA, the clippers, and Mark Cuban. Clippers are better with him, the NBA needs villains(the clippers), and Mark Cuban now has somthing he has never had...sympathy. Public sympathy can be a valuable commodity if used correctly. That is why I think Cuban made a mistake attacking Broussard. That story made him more sympathetic. He could have waited a week or two and then cleared that up, after he cashed in on it.

Cuban isn't going to sue DeAndre. I also think he isn't the kind of person that seeks to exploit public sympathy, it goes against who he thinks he is. Besides who exactly is going to cry for Mr. Multi-Billionaire not getting the player he wanted? He is being quiet because he was fined by the NBA this week for opening his mouth before signing day. I bet he lodges a complaint with the league accusing the Clippers of tampering or some such thing.

Players are allowed to change their mind. Teams are allowed to campaign for players, even after a verbal agreement with another team.

Cuban and the Mavs just need to not be babies and move on.

No one wants to be on a team that is about feature Chandler Parsons as their #1 option with an aging Dirk as #2 and a Wes Matthews fresh off an achilles injury as a #3.

...Cuban was thinking of tanking anyway, right? Now he doesn't have to think about doing it anymore!

Except D-Will. But that may be because he's excited to play Bingo and feed the pigeons at the park with the rest of the Mavs roster.

Dwill just wants to get out of Brooklyn and he sees that Mavs have enough cap-room to take him.
