What's new

Enes Kanter still unsigned

I'm just glad the Jazz aren't the ones trying to decide whether to match a max offer for a bratty, one way player.

This is the reason no one was willing to give us much for Enes. He was a one year rental who would only sign a max offer with a desperate team. Laughing at Portland. They ain't sniffing the playoffs in 2016.

And literally right after I type that no other front office would offer Kanter a max contract, Portland does. Which is absolutely astounding to me. Lowe thinks OKC will match and then trade Novak, Augustin, PJIII for peanuts.

Hopefully we'll take those three back for additional draft picks.

I'm going to log out of work, go watch pron and pretend this assault against the human race never happened.

Remember when a bunch of posters were saying that kanter wouldn't be offered more than 11 mill. Will this happened. He's going to make more than Hayward haha.

Honestly, looking back a straight-up Pleiss for Kanter trade would have been very reasonable, let alone the picks and cash we got.

OKC restricted free agent Enes Kanter signing a four-year, $70M maximum contract offer sheet with Blazers, league sources tell Yahoo.

Kanter offer sheet is expected to include a trade kicker too, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
...

That's absolutely hilarious! HAHAHHAHA! I'm loving it! :D

Trailblazers could effectively be getting younger thru Free Agency and Trades.. lol. Ya can't hate on this move by them, It falls in line with what they've been doing.

I hope he goes to Portland. We are going to beat the **** out of them next year.

Itll be fun having him stay in the division.

It's a good pick up for Portland. I think he would play well with both Plumlee who brings defense and Vonleh who can stretch the floor.

Yes I can hate on them for this. Long time division rivals, they tired to steal Milsap, they did steal Mathews. And now they are ruining my plan to destroy the OKC Thunder. Plus, I think I have FO envy because this will be like their fifth or sixth quick rebuild since Drexler and they are almost always successful. So, BOOO on the Potland JailBlazers, BOOOOOOO!

If OKC matches, which I think is likely, Portland has dealt a blow to OKC. They'll have to trade other players and potentially assets or will be forced to pay 40 million in tax.

Was able to catch up with Sam Presti. His comment on the reported Enes Kanter offer sheet:

If OKC wants to get rid off DJ Agustin, PJ3 and Novak in order to save money, would the Jazz be interested?

Enes Kanter will make $17.5 million per season over the next four years regardless of where.

Let that sink in - now think about the contacts we doled out to Favors and Hayward and tell yourself that maybe the FO knows what they're doing.
