I think it is great that our guys are here in SLC and they are supporting the SL teams interacting with the coaches. The rumor is that they are going to also follow the players out to Vegas.

Any thoughts on the absence of Hayward and Burke?

I know that Burke will be blasted and you all will give Hayward a pass. But, for a supposed leaders looks like he isn't putting in the same commitment as the rest of the team.

Discuss.

I know that Burke was here about a week or two ago and working with the team, but I wonder if the trade rumors affected him.

Hayward has been noticeably absent, especially for a so-called leader of the team.

Having a new born baby will do that.

Burke and Hayward not there is much ado about nothing.

Those that bring it up want to stir the pot just to stir it.

Bro, stop digging yourself a deeper hole.

Hayward is a good player. End of story.

Yes, but is he a good leader is the question. If it's true that he's the go to guy, the guy that's supposed to take the team under his arm to be successful he should and gets paid enough to be involved with all the teams plans for the future. I think it would have gone miles towards my view of Hayward if I would have seen his face in SL. Sorry but I'm not buying it, he is not entitled to not having to show up until the season starts just because he's the 'star'.

This.
It's cool that all those other guys are there with the team and it would be cool if Hayward and burke were too but the fact that they are not there didn't really matter

Dang it you guys! NO!!!!

You are not following the narrative here! Hayward is the Golden Calf and what is OK for him by definition cannot be OK for anyone else, including Burke.

Get your crap together guys!

From waht I know, most of the dudes dont have kids or wives.

I know Burke has a kid and I know Hayward has a kid.

Favors is married, but lives in SLC.

Everyone else is just young and pretty sure dont have many commitments outside of basketball. The other dudes are guys fighting for roster spots.

do you have a 2 month old baby at home? I don't know about anyone else, but if I had to travel and devote all of my time to the Jazz 8 out of the 12 months in a year. I would probably take advantage of some family time as well.

Pardon me? I think mom could have that covered for 2 weeks out of a 4 month vacation, a guy that's making megabucks, give me an effin break...

And it's the offseason. The irrational dislike for both Hayward and Burke around here makes me laugh. Much ado about nothing. I'm not going to squabble over semantics. It's the offseason. He's entitled to wind down. As long as he's staying in shape and getting ready for the upcoming season (which his past behavior suggests he's doing) then he's fine to get out of town and spend time with his family.

I honestly don't give a damn what any of them do in July as long as they're ready to go by October. It won't change how his teammates feel about him. And the same thing goes for Burke, Favors, Gobert, Burks, Lyles, Jingles, Booker, etc.

It makes me (as a fan) appreciate it when they're in town and hanging out together, but it's not nearly as big of a deal as a couple of posters are making it out to be.

If I were a pro sports player I wouldn't show up to a single summer league game unless it benefited my own interests.

Also did anyone see that picture of Lebron, CP3, Wade and Melo on a booze cruise together? Pathetic. Guys like that showing no commitment to their teams or getting better as players. They are all getting fat and drunk on vacation and will probably be out of the league in a year or two because they show no professionalism to their teams or the league.

*note that that was all sarcasm with the exception of maybe Melo. I really hate that D-bag.

These guys aren't just hanging out they are committed to getting better to making the playoff. I'm pretty sure they are working with coaches. They are also developing a bond, chemistry, and some are stepping up as leaders.
