What's new

2015 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

Jeffrey32 and I have agreed to trade Kobe Bryant + 104th pick for Reggie Miller + Tony Parker.

My team so far:

Steve Nash / Tony Parker
Reggie Miller / Allen Iverson
Kawhi Leonard
Karl Malone
Moses Malone / Ben Wallace

Anyone has any idea whether Parker or Nash would work better in the starting lineup?

I'd say Nash, their skill sets are pretty similar and Nash is just straight up better.

Damn. I'm not sure trading Kobe was a great idea. Sorry. Kinda feel like it's my fault. Your team does fit a little better now though.

Kobe doesn't get much love around here, but he's still a better piece than Miller and Parker.

That's the crappy thing about this contest. It's just as much of a player popularity contest as it is about talent.

Kobe was one of the best ever in his prime, but I don't think I'd pick him for this.

Dwight Howard was a beast in Orlando, but now picking him is almost a negative.

I thought about Ron Artest cause he was such a great defender, but it's hard to remember that. All people mostly remember is his crazyness.

I was already on the fence on whether Kobe fit with the other pieces, and what you said confirmed my suspicions. I feel that my team works a lot better as a unit now, and I'm fairly comfortable with the trade. I have pretty awesome spacing now.

Franklin had Kobe and Malone paired up one year and it didn't go well then either, so it's probably better to try a different approach.

I wish you would have talked to me first though. I could have given you the same thing pretty much. Ray Allen and Rose.

I actually considered that, and I decided I preferred Miller over Allen.

With the #100 pick I select..

Pick #101 - SG/SF: Jimmy Butler

NBA Most Improved Player (2015)
NBA All-Star (2015)
2× NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2014–2015)

Young and ascending player, I decided that I wanted a defensive specialist from this era that I can plug in between Pippen and Jordan when I go with small ball lineups. The future is bright for him. I see multiple All Star games and All defense team recognition.

Dang, I'd really been hoping I'd get him, oh well :)
