2015 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

It would defeat the purpose of even allowing losers to advance. A random drawing is better.

Okay, so this is the set up.

Random drawing for first round matchups.

We get down to 6 teams after the first round. The two losers with the most votes get to advance and we are up to 8 teams.

We then have another random drawing and play the second round. We are then down to 4 teams. Then after the third round we will be down to 2 teams and the championship game.

Sound good to everyone?

Ya, sounds good.

Losers could play each other so the better team could advance. Or we could have 2 groups from which 4 teams advance and go on to quarter finals.

Most voted team from Group A plays Least voted team that advances from Group B.

This would give losers too much of an advantage, as it would guarantee one loser to advance to the semi.

Well, I don't really like the idea of losers advancing but 2 loser teams could advance if they don't play each other, too. At least this way you get the better one.

So in essence something like this:

1 v. 2
7 v. 8
11 v. 12

3 v. 4
5 v. 6
9 v. 10

We get down to three teams, but two out of the three losers from each region (most votes) play each other for the fourth spot.

But this way a first round loser is GUARANTEED to advance to semi-finals, while no first round winner has that guarantee. It means the loser with the most votes is better off than the winners.

Not really what I meant but this sounds good, too.

Ugh, I don't know. Why are we letting losers advance, anyway?

I agree with this, just don't have any rematches in the second round since losers will be advancing, them facing the same team they just lost to would be kind of dumb.

Isn't this the same as my suggestion before? I'm down with this, easy & simple. I think Emergence liked this idea as well.
