Las Vegas Summer League Game Thread: July 11th - Utah Jazz vs. Miami Heat 7:30 PM PST

Kelly Oubre had 20 points and 10 rebounds earlier. Portis killed Townesend and had 23 and 7. #RegrettingDraftingLyles

Everyone is bagging on Lyles' D but I think it has improved in the 2nd half of this game. His D still has a ways to go but I think once Lyles has a few more games and practices under his belt -- he will looks better. Not sure how much better.

I don't think we need to agonize over a Cotton missed layup when our top draft pick went 2/10 shooting and 4/11 on FTs

I predicted 15 and 5 for Lyles and he ended up with 8 and 4.

Damn, if he could hit free throws he would have ended up with 15 and 4.

He is playing defense with guys like Cooley, Motum, and Cotton. Your teammates matter on defense.

He just needs to fix his shot. That is his main problem right now. He must just be rusty, because his release is messed up right now with how flat his FT's are coming out.

Love Johnson, Good defender that knows his roll and hits open shots. When he is playing with guys that well get him open looks he could be a great 3 and D player. Cotton is fun to watch. Sucks that he missed that last layup. Would have made the game really interesting. Both should be on an NBA roster this upcoming year. Just not sure it well be our roster.

Oubre took 20 shots to have 20 points.

Lyles got 8 points on 10 shots, and he could have had way more if he shot his average at the FT line.

Dude is probably just rusty. I'm not really worried about him yet. He has shown enough promise and potential.
