It does seem crazy but I think that Gobert is a top 5 center, favors is a top five pf, and Hayward is a top 5 sf.
I still think Burks will be an all star someday, hood looks really good, and exum has potential.
Our bench is mediocre imo and might hold us back a bit along with our youth/inexperience....... But ya, I think we should be contenders soon.

Gobert was the 3rd center taken, Hayward was the 4th small forward taken, and Favors was the 7th power forward taken in this draft. Not sure what that means, but yeah, fwiw.

There are several pg's still on the board I'd take over him. Something about him tells me u can't contend with him. Way too early to take him.

Just think it's interesting we are talking about getting the 8th seed when, if we have 3 top 30 players, we should be getting at least the 6th seed.

If you don't draft a Jazz player next round it must mean you don't really like the Jazz roster.
Lowry, DeRozan, and Lou Williams all took 900+ shots for them last year, I get what you are saying though. Lowry is good and obviously underrated on this board.
Several? Lowry is top-6 or top-7 point guard in the league. All the guys ahead of him went already. Only two guys you could honestly argue and they were in consideration as well.
I would say he is arguable at teh bottom of the top 10, but just as easily arguably that he isn't top 10 at all.
I would have taken a few PG's left over him.

You are trying to say the Jazz should be contenders if they have 3 top 30 players. That isn't true. What if we have the 28th, 29th, 30th best players? That wouldn't make us contenders. Especially if everyone else on the team is really young. So that rule doesn't really apply.
We don't have Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. 2 top5 players (at the time), and a top 20 player. Who were also all nba guys. We have Gobert who's the best rim protector in the league, and two borderline allstars. That's a lot different than putting together a super team.
Well I don't want to name the other PG's, so maybe later.

For the record, I think the Jazz are borderline contenders this year. I think we can win a playoff series if we stay healthy.
In this draft.. Gobert was drafted right about where he should have been. Hayward slightly too high, and Favors right about where he should have been. Imo
