2015 Annual JazzFanz Current Players Draft

Congrats.

The team was also losing a **** ton of games during that period.
Call that the kanter effect

His team would score fine.

A team with Parker, Wiggins, and Griffin would get buckets just fine.

In real life against the regular teams in the NBA, sure. But there are some teams with a ton of firepower in this and I don't see how they keep up with the lack of three-point shooting he has.

Not to mention he would have the most athletic front-court of any team. I struggle to see how his team would struggle to score.

Parker, Wiggins, Green combined for 2.2 threes MADE a game last year.

I'm saying in this competition specifically how are they going to keep up especially when you can pack the paint against them?

You can't just pack the paint.

Parker, Griffin, and Wiggins are all good mid-range shooters for one thing. You don't have to shoot 3's to win the in the NBA. It is the trend, but it's not the only way. These are crafty and athletic scorers.

He can also easily sub in Smith for Green to add more shooting.

Yeah, IDK why I even picked KAT, but I like him. I think he can clearly protect the rim at a NBA level and hit jump shots in the NBA. As far as projecting him, idk. I feel like he would be a plus contributor at a bench level for a playoff team by the end of the year.

Honestly. The only thing I feel u can project is defense. Even shooting is a big if especially in a players rookie year. Shooting at a pro level doesn't always translate from College or sometimes there's an adjustment period. A good example would be Ingles. His shot was garbage the first half and shot over 40% the second half.

Tell me the last team to win a title who couldn't shoot threes? Wtf bro seriously?

That logic seems foolproof.

Burke finished third in rookie of the year voting. It's impossible to project someone who finished 3rd. Had he finished first, then every stat would have been perfectly projectable. Because, you know, magic.

Well I don't think his team is good enough to win it all, but I think he could beat some teams. I just don't think his spacing is completely terrible. It's not great, but I don't think it hampers him against the weaker teams, such as yours.

Wiggins is clearly a very good player. Is anyone here going to argue that? He won ROTY because of that.

Burke clearly wasn't very good. He was in a class with a bunch of ****ty rookies. Him finishing 3rd was unique to that class.

I'm taking bets for people who don't think Wiggins will improve his 3pt percentage though if yall are that dumb.

Wiggins shot 67% from 0-3 feet from the basket, 35% from 3-10 feet, 38% from 10-16, and 30% from 16+ feet.

Yeah, I'd pack the paint against him.

Griffin shot 72% from 0-3 feet from the basket, 39% from 3-10 feet, 38% from 10-16, and 40% from 16+ feet.

I'm pretty sure I'd pack the paint against him too.

Parker is the legit only one who is a great mid-range shooter out of those three. Stats prove it.

In one of the most mediocre draft classes in the history of the draft. The Top-10 was largely devoid of impact players. Oladipo is having a nice start to his career, but Philly quickly gave up on MCW. Incredible to think he's an even worse shooter than Trey. There's some talent down through the draft (Giannis, Gobert, Schroder) but overall a pretty weak draft.

Cy legit throwing **** against the wall and hoping it sticks. Only team he could score with would be your team.

Rodney Hood and Draymond Green vs. Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Green.

Lol.

It doesn't matter. You're making a meaningless argument, just like the argument that Parker "is a respectable 3pt shooter" when he barely ever takes a shot and nobody ever bothers defending him at the 3. Wiggins might improve, but there is no way to tell how much that particular stat will improve. Will it jump to 34% (making it a very good jump for a single year)? That would make him a decent shooter, in a team that can't shoot. Or it will take him a couple of years before that skill improves? Or are we to just take it on faith that he will definitely become exactly as good a 3pt shooter as your argument requires?
