Exum Injured

Initial concern is that Dante Exum might have suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, per a source. Jazz will know more when he's evaluated.

Damn. Worst case scenario. Really hate international play. It's too much wear and tear on their bodies and no recovery. If it's an ACL, it's the second year in a row that an NBA player has suffered a major injury in these types of exhibition games. I understand playing in the Olympics, but having guys play every offseason is not good for the sport.

It happened before he landed.

I think the tear happens on the landing of the hop but is not felt until the player makes the next move of the knee(the jump in this case) and that's why the weird contortion of the body in both Exum and Rose's cases. When he jumps, the knee is already not functioning right and they lose all balance and control over the jump.

I'm sorry to say it, but to me it looks like the injury Rose had. It's pretty much the same exact motion... it's a hopstep in the paint from the side and on the jump the knee gives out. It even looked worse with Dante than it did with Rose.

I agree it's very similar to Rose's hop step ACL injury but I think Rose's hop was more forceful than Dante's to me...

If it's an ACL I would give Atlanta 2 firsts and throw in Trey Burke and let's get it done for Schroeder. Quin has worked with him before and he broke out last season.

This is the year we need to make a run at it with Favors and Hayward's contract coming to an end soon. Need to strike while the iron's hot.

They would pass.

They would pass.

Burke would be perfectly fine as their backup PG. They also have Mack. With Teague already their starting PG I doubt they would want to pay Schroeder $$$ in 2 years' time. Getting back x2 valuable first round picks will come in handy. Schroeder's value is unlikely to get much higher playing behind Teague.

I think they would think hard... it seems to me like a fair deal for both parties.
