Exum Injured

Y'all are a bunch of selfish ********, all this woe's me, how about some well wishes for the kid who is actually injured?

Honestly my first reaction was the same, thought "****" and what are the Jazz going to do now, but then I felt bad for him moments later.

I sympathize with your fake self-righteous outrage.

This ruined my day. Hoping and praying it's not an ACL. That would sap some of his explosiveness, which could become his best trait. Hoping it's a hyper extension and nothing worse. Didn't look good, but I've seen some that looked worse that ended up being minor. If it was an ACL, I'd think it would have been leaked that they at least we're worried about that.

Also why is eveyrone talking about trading for a young PG who isn't as talented as Exum? This doesn't mean his career is over.

If we trade for anyone, it would be George Hill.

Calm your **** until there's some MRI available for Dante.
There's also no way to obtain Schröder without giving up a significant piece.

The way Exum did that 'hop' and injured his knee reminded me of when D Rose injured his ACL years back..

Rose's injury looked a lot more serious though.

Exum didn't dish that **** sweet as hell like Rose though.

Yeah, but this argument is kind of irrelevant to Exum since he took nearly an entire year off from basketball and didn't get overplayed last year at all.

year off from 'league-play'. Guaranteed he was training like a dog, and he's probably been playing highly competitively from a very young age.

Looking at the video again, it seems like he might have just bumped his left knee into the defender's knee which can be very painful, therefore his reaction. A bruised knee would be nothing compared to an ACL.

It does hurt when you ding your MCL against someone else's knee. Let's hope that's what it is.

I refuse to feel that bad for a guy that makes millions of dollars to play basketball. I have torn my ACL and had to get surgery as well, not the end of the world. He will get first class surgery and therapy, while still making millions of dollars.

Shröder could be a great point guard and Snyder has a year of familiarity in working with him in Atlanta and the kid knows our system.

I think it's something Lindsey needs to strongly consider. 1sts are valuable but this is the point, right now, where we can begin to emerge. It's also the point I would think Shröder wants to begin to show he can be a starting point guard in this league. At some point, he'll become a malcontent too and I would guess that would be sooner rather than later.

I was mostly, half joking, sorta kinda. But also wanted to point out there is an actual person that is hurt (albeit we don't know to what extent) and so it does suck for him and psychologically this summer with the sprained ankle and now this hopefully doesn't get him down too much.

Hope this is the case. Wouldn't the reaction/pain come immediately afterwards though? If he did bump it - and hard to tell at this angle, plus all media reports saying "no contact" - he continues the dribble, sets his feet, goes up for the shot, and THEN reacts - as if the pain came in the act of jumping.

Yeah and to think we could have had him if we didn't trade up to grab Burke. Dammit man.

I would give up two 1sts for him (i.e., ours and OKC or GSW). They won't be much good anyway as we won't be in the lottery going forward.

He did not bang knees, it looks really bad. Let's hope for the best. I've heard he has worked really hard this summer and I was excited to see what he could do. Let's all fast between meals for Dante.

He may have banged knees with the guy before he planted, but his reaction was when he planted.
