screw this team....i'm out....until next game(errr next loss, hurr hurrr)

Told you that this team sucks.

Lottery bound!!!

I just have one problem right now... Two actually... #1 What the hell is up with turnovers? Deron's a turnover machine. Dribbling into 5 defenders and running out of bounds or palming the ball isn't good offense. #2 Why the hell is chucker always amongst our leading shot attempters? I'd much rather have Hayward, Watson, or Millsap chuck away double teamed than watch chucker shoot a wide open jumper. Just because we suck and we're injured doesn't mean that CJ gets to shoot like he's Tmac on the Magic. We could have Malone, Shaq, MJ, and Magic in their primes and still lose as long as CJ continues to shoot so much.

Quite honestly, why is he shooting so damn much? No reason why he's shooting more than Deron, Paul, Earl, and Gordon.

CJ Miles misses.

Game over.

Deron wanted more mins for CJ. That was one of the issues for which he fought tooth and nails with Sloan. Well, he has his wish. He can see what happens when his buddies get more mins. Deron would sooner or later realize that he should have left the coaching part to someone who knows about it much better than he does

Sad time to be a Jazz fan... that is at least if you like winning.

Step away from the cliff and lose the emotional connection for a time. It does no good to suffer and moan through this. We all know this ship isn't headed anywhere good.... We're losing to dump teams now. This hardly even resembles a Jazz team anymore. We're quickly becoming the Raptors, Cavs, Grizz, and Twolves.

I don't agree with Deron on Sloan, but I do agree with Deron on CJ Miles. No doubt he'd score more points than Raja Bell. I know Sloan wanted defense, but this team desperately needs more scoring from the wing positions (SG, SF).

Oh, Wesley Matthews had another strong game tonight. At 16.5 ppg for the season, he's the reason Portland has survived the loss of Brandon Roy and are playing extremely well.

24 pts (8-13 fg. 6-7 ft. 2-5 3pt.) 8 rebs. 2 asts.

Of course, the Jazz didn't think Wesley was worth the MLE of $6 million. Lord knows if Gordon Hayward ever averages 9 ppg, the Jazz will be offering him the moon and the stars.

ew.

This game was as ugly to watch as the new nissan juke ad that pops on here. :( this team plays like garbage. Deron doesn't know what the hell he's doing with the ball and Miles, the least clutch player in the nba keeps shooting the damn ball.... He takes so many wide open and missed shots. Its not Ty's fault...its the fact that the Jazz don't have an outside shooters (except miles who sucks). Luckily, I just watched the 4th quarter.

No, that would have more to do with Aldridge becoming an unstoppable offensive beast.

.

Yeah this team really needs CJ Miles to shoot 37% while hoisting up 20 shots a game and playing sub-par defense. Thats what this team really needs. Especially since Bell and AK were'nt scoring at all before they got injured, right? This team really needed Miles' 33% outside shooting

How the heck do you know this as a fact? Where you in the lockroom when everything went down? CJ is shooting more because Sloan isn't there to tell him to stop doing it, injuries have a part in it. Raja, AK and Okur are not in the rotation so CJ has more shots to take. However, I agree CJ should stop shooting it so much when he isn't making them. Perhaps if he misses two jumpshots in a row then he needs to drive or pass the ball.

what really struck me was the bench and the contrast in styles between AK and Raja Bell

Raja looked suave and debonair while AK looked very meshuganah

I got to go to the game last night. You can see alot even from the 18th row of the upper bowl. My observations:

Big AL is good and could be great. He needs to learn to use his left pivot foot rather than his right. He gets the ball in the post then turns on his right pivot to face the defender. Dude, you're just giving the defender time to reset and if you happen to hit a couple and the other team decides to double you create time for them to bring a double from anywhere. Why hasn't the coaching staff taught him to push his man deep step through with hsi left foot and seal the defender for an easy play in the middle? The defense overplays his first move so badly a move to the middle would be there almost every time.

This team's body language sucks and there is no leader. I watched AL get a rebound and get fouled. The team didn't huddle up, there were no high-fives, low fives, butt slaps or pats on the back. CJ and Milsap walked right to the blocks, Deron cornered a ref and complained (again) and whoever else was back. After the first shot Milsap made a token step towards AL and Deron walked over for a five, but was still jarring at the ref. At substitutions, foul shots and in and out of time outs the guys weren't cheering for each other or fiving. Nothing.

CJ has terrible body language. He looked defensive. No not like he was defending the Warriors. Every mistake or every timeout he threw his arms out and looked at the bench as if to say "what do you want me to do" or "you can't blame that on me". After his 6 misses in a row down the stretch he barely made it into the huddle.

Deron needs to shut up with the refs and talk to his coachs and teamates. His negative attitude seems to have seeped into every player, every coach, and into the fans. You can't be that negative and expect good things to return to you in basketball or in life. Every time the play stopped for any reason he was complaining to the refs. It's like he is his own man and the team is thier own. Dee Brown, Derek Fisher where are you?

Now he is the best player on the team, he has the new coach in his pocket, and management scared to upset him least he leave. Jerry may have been the last person who could protect Deron from himself. I predict Deron will implode before season ends. And it will be epic.

CJ 41% fg 33% 3pts
Raja 43% fg 36% 3pts

And the choice for Wes was either him or Al (we're not on an unlimited bankroll). Who would you take? Raja was just an attempt to fill Wes' spot with less $.

And I'm with thriller. After the 6-game losing streak I knew there was something seriously wrong. I lowered my expectations then. It looked like things were very slowly improving, but in the last 3 games, I can't really point to even slow improvements.

I couldn't believe how many empty seats there were last night. The front office has to be feeling some heat.

This.

By far the biggest change that I've seen in the Jazz the last few years. They're not having fun. They look like it's "painful" to play a game. Unbelievable.

good post Mellow, though I'm not sure I'd agree that deron has "the new coach in his pocket" - - I'd like to give Ty Corbin more credit than that. And Deron as well. And your last couple sentences make me really, really sad.

Deron really needs a strong teammate - not just in the skills department, but in the personality and PMA department.

Derek Fisher.

Unfortunately it appears DWill doesn't play well with others. On top of that he's an ineffective leader.

A bad combo to build around.

This is definitely increasing the chances we are going to dump some serious salary before the deadline. Will be tough to dump Memo though since he want be back until after deadline. We probably would have been willing to pay a pretty high luxury tax if we were Championship material, but hard to believe we will now.
