A sad day: Twin Peaks' Log Lady Catherine Coulson dies at 71

I don't agree with your last sentence though. I think that if the dogs quality of life is poor then you should put them down. Keeping an old, sick, miserable dog alive is just the owner being selfish and not wanting to deal with the pain of losing their best friend/family member.
Yes, me too. But when we tried to adopt dogs from rescue organizations, we were treated like murderers because we had both euthanized pets that were old and could barely crawl.

I love dogs and cats. Heck, we even fed one of our pet rats broth and gave it antibiotics when it got sick. But they are animals, not people. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to spend tens of thousands of dollars on treatment. That's just ridiculous.

No way would I spend a bunch of money on medical procedures for a pet.

Growing up we had a cat most of my life that got cancer in her jaw and my parents paid for a surgery to remove it. Two weeks later the cat died. We also had a couple dogs and one had hip dysplasia, parents paid for a surgery, dog didn't get much better, a few months later the dog died.

I loved those animals for sure. But there's no way I would pay for surgeries for older pets (or younger ones). If they can't live comfortably as they are I would euthanize them.

Our cat has skin cancer on the top of his white ears at the moment, we're also considering whether to let him have surgery or not.. he is about 10 years old.

For me it would really depends on the prognosis. If it wasn't highly likely, like better than 80%, to completely fix the problem then I just wouldn't do it. Or if it was several thousand dollars I wouldn't do it.

i've tried to watch it and got stuck halfway into episode 2 about 3 times, is it worth persisting ?
That's a good question. I watched it all and ejoyed it in certain ways, but I couldn't tell you what it's about really.

I had no idea until the last few episodes Gordon was David Lynch. He's one of the best characters on the show.

It finishes strong. Really enjoyed the last 3-4 episodes.

Yes it did finish strong. The final 15 minutes was absolutely fantastic, especially that final scene. It really spooked me big time.

Overall I'd say about 30% was absolutely terrific, about 70% was too slow and languid and didn't really add much to the overall story for me. I think he wasted too much time on 'Dougie' and a few other things. Also a lot of the tension/relationships that were created didn't really go anywhere, like the Ben Horne & Beverly thing, or the Richard Horne story that didn't add up to much. And it's not like he didn't have time. He had 18 hours to do it.

Still, some scenes involving the Log Lady for example were absolute gems. You literally hang on to her every words. But those scenes were too few and far between for me.

Would I watch it again? Maybe... but also maybe not.
