Cheapest way to watch Jazz games?

For the last couple years I've only had local channels and Netflix. No cable, satelite, etc.

I live in the Salt Lake Area. Can I get games online? From my understanding League Pass is only good if you are outside the area, is that correct? And can you only get league pass if you have cable?

I'm just trying to be frugal... I really don't want to watch anything else other than Jazz games and I don't want to pay a lot. Cheapest I've found is $43 a month if I bundle Century Link with Direct TV. Anyone else have any ideas?

Get NBA Broadband, one team option -- $119. That way you're not blacked out, or shouldn't be.

I had a family budget crunch last season, the cable was cut. So I know your pain.

Might I suggest Applebee's, red robin, chillies, Texas road house. Are you lds?--get to know your home teaching families. neighbors, in laws, your sisters house.

The TV wall at walmart(unlikely).

Split the signal out of your neighbors cable box, pay him to leave it on the Jazz games.

Or listen to Locke on 1280.

I just want to say that every response has been fabulous. Thank you so much.

Can you tell me about Ballstreams? I just went to their website and it says they are only serving current members and I can't seem to get much information. I wonder if they are being sued or something...When did you sign up? Does it work on Roku?

Id' definitely try the NBA subreddit on Reddit. For every game, there's usually a few posts giving options for streaming that particular game.

Good job on cutting the cord as they say. Annualized, most cable/ satellite subscriptions are prohibitively expensive.

I don't know if you'd be blacked out with Broadband -- how are they going to know you live in SLC (it's an Internet connection, not Cable ???). This is online, so you can watch anywhere there's an Internet connection, and I watch it with my Firestick so should work with Roku.

Any Internet service or website can identify your location using a number assigned to every Internet user called an IP address. Even the admins of this site can tell where you're posting from, unless you took special precautions to mask your IP.

I Use ballstreams. Cheaper and more ubiquitous than league pass (all teams, all games, all platforms).

Or i guess you could probably use an ip masking extension like "hola" to avoid the blackout..

Eenie Meenie probably rethinking his internet decisions now that he knows the internet knows where he lives.

I always misread the thread title as "Creepiest way to watch Jazz games?"

Since I don't live in SLC, never was an issue. I didn't realize they would use the IP address to black it out ... guess I am behind the times when it comes to these things. The closest NBA team is 120 miles away.

When I bought League Pass I was living in Mississippi I had New Orleans, Memphis, and Atlanta games all blacked out. None of those teams ever appeared on local channels either. I will never buy League Pass again. That was 4 years ago when it was fairly cheap too
