Didn't get to watch the game last night, but living in Portland, I was able to listen to some of the post game on the way home from work. Apparently Portland played amazing defense and they will be a borderline playoff team that will be close to .500 this year...
Yes, Phoenix was a legit fatigue excuse. Having two days to rest after is not.“I thought we played really well in Hawaii. I thought we played really hard. I thought our energy was good,” Hayward said. “We just kind of stagnated in Phoenix, fatigued mentally and physically"
Depends on how hard they practiced those two days reallyYes, Phoenix was a legit fatigue excuse. Having two days to rest after is not.

They've only practiced 3 times in last 11 days according to Andy Larson's podcast today. So they probably practiced once in that two day span, or possibly not at all.Depends on how hard they practiced those two days really
They looked tired of sucking. I mean, even in the phoenix game where there was legitimate fatigue, we looked amazing in the first quarter. That tells me it's more mental from the offense constantly stalling out. They looked tired to me.
I don't really need some formula for days rest and number of training sessions to tell me that.
You know the Jazz have a lot of free cap room? Spending 6 million a year (what Marco got) is worth it for a 40% career shooter who won't hesitate to drop bombs.
How did we lose to that starting five? Awful.
Two days after losing to us for the second time in Hawaii the Lakers played the raptors in Ontario (holy ****, that's a six hour time change) where they lost again, and then on the 11th they finally won... but it was against a team I've never heard of before.Lol, tbh I am surprised it took 4 preseason games for the doubt to start.
Jazz left Hawaii on Thursday. But they didn't go to Phoenix for that game. They went to Utah and then traveled to Phoenix on Friday before the game. Then back home for Mondays game.
Hawaii to SLC isn't a 1-2 hour time difference it is 4 hours. Then they were basically allowed no chance to rest before traveling again and playing another road game.
Jazz had several good open looks and the shots just were not falling.
Favors 2-11
Hayward 3-15
Burke 2-8
Ingles 3-8
Hood 3-12
Only Burks had a good night. When that many players can't make a shot that is fatigue. Jazz shot 31% FGs, 22.7% 3s and 68.3% FTs.
Jazz now have 6 days off to rest up and practice. They will look much better next game on Sunday the 18th.
preseason lol.

Lol. I realize that I went a bit off topic and did not connect the dots. I looked at the Lakers results because of your comments that the Jazz results were understandable given the difficult travel schedule from Hawaii. I wanted to determine if they were thrown off their game as much as we appear to have been. As a result I was surprised to discover that whoever set the Lakers pre-season schedule is apparently trying to kill them. I'm in favor of this plan.Um...ok?
