It Might Be Time to Go Dumpster Diving

By my count there will be 120 players on the waiver wire this week. Perhaps there is a player that could help a Jazz weakness in those 120.

We didn't claim Ingles until the 27th of last year (waived the 25th). The guys who are most talented will be waived in the coming days, of course - the tough decisions where teams waive a player they wish they could keep. Hoping there's a PG who can distribute the ball. One would think their agent would love the player in Utah as there's an opportunity to play.

That was my thought to see if a PG shows up on the list that can still play.

How's that Irish kid that used to play for Miami. Quin something? or O'Brien? He was a good three-point shooter I think.

Chances are someone will be available. Someone posted in another thread that Washington has a lot of PGs still on the roster. Behind Wall are Sessions, Temple, Smith and Bynum. It's likely they waive 1-2 of them. Assuming they will keep Sessions.

Washington roster who will make the team: Wall, Gortat, Oubre, Beal, Nene, Humphries, Dudley, Porter, Blair, Webster, Butler, Anderson. That only leaves 3 spots for the other eight guys.

It won't happen, Still kinda think the Jazz should take a flier on Robert Upshaw, he's worth stashing in the D-League, and I know he lost like 20 lbs with the Lakers.

Pleiss just doesn't do it for me, When it comes to Tibor I can't help but think the Jazz are just trying to return value on the Kanter trade...

He's no Alexis Ajinca.. not even close. I'd have Withey as the backup C.

However, If the Jazz trade for Schroder, he could make Pleiss look good, like for the German national team..

Yeah, you hear about Randy McCrag from the Boise Thundercats? He was putting up 8.8PPG, 3.4RPG, 2.1APG, and 0.3SPG against the Buffalo Centipedes. Jerry Daniels could be a good pickup for a cheap C, he is a tough, hard-nosed player who brings his lunchpail to work.

Crawford did put up 42 in a regular season game for Golden State a couple of years ago.

It still bugs me that we passed on this kid in the second round. There are 15 spots on our roster and we didn't have room for Wood?

If you want to chirp on passing up somebody in the second round recently chirp about Jokic.

Houston waived Jeremy Tyler. I thought that guy was pretty talented and would make a decent back-up big.

They also waived Chris Walker, who is a stand-out athlete.

Knicks waived Thanasis Antetokounmpo. He's not better than Chris Johnson, but definitely has a higher ceiling, could be worth a look.
